You are in total denial. Ron Paul is a de facto isolationist. He is an atheist supported by George Soros and Neo-Nazis all over the world. Go ahead. Vote away. You will elect the Democrat. But maybe that is your intention in the first place. Ron Paul is guaranteed to lose. There is nothing more certain. He would be ripped to shreds in a general election. Hillary Clinton would appear to be a centrist standing next to him. You and all his supporters could vote for him twice each and he would still lose. Millions of Republicans and Independents would not even vote or vote for the Democrat if Ron Paul were the candidate. But go ahead and dream away in fantasy land with imaginary futures of Ron Paul as president. It is just silly.

First, he is not an isolationist.

He is for U.S. sovereignty and wants us out of the UN, NAFTA, WTO etc.

He wants us to freely trade with all nations, but not have U.S. citizens under the authority of the extra-national organizations.

As for 'wasting my vote', this is a primary, Republicans ought to vote for the man who best represents their political philosophy.

Ron Paul is running on returning to the Constitution, which is exactly what we need to do.

Second, regarding his electability in the general election, if Ron Paul wins the Republican nomination (highly unlikely I admit), I would expect Republicans to vote for him.

As for Democrats and Independents, I think his message of individual freedom and responsibility would resonant with the American people on sharp contrast with Hillary.

TSL: Taking second place to none in despising paleoPaulie as I do, I agree with your post in all but one respect. I do not believe that there is any evidence whatsoever that the pipsqueak is an atheist. IIRC, he is either a Baptist or a Presbyterian. Do you have actual evidence of him being an atheist?

Meanwhile, Winnie the Pooh is more likely to be the GOP nominee than paleoPaulie and so we don't have to worry about him actually damaging our country with his lunacy. He will probably be out of Congress by 2009. I certainly hope so.

“Pakistan should not be getting an “allowance” from us and we should not be propping up military dictators that oppress people. We should mind our own business and stop the oppressive taxation of Americans that makes this meddling possible.” -RP

I take it you disagree. It is essential, if America is going to thrive and survive, that we use a military presence and alliances to insure procurement of oil and other resources from around the world. We cannot possibly survive with secure borders and free trade as a free people with the right and responsibility to bear arms in self defense. Right?

I have never been one who is comfortable talking about my faith in the political arena. In fact, the pandering that typically occurs in the election season I find to be distasteful. But for those who have asked, I freely confess that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior, and that I seek His guidance in all that I do. I know, as you do, that our freedoms come not from man, but from God. My record of public service reflects my reverence for the Natural Rights with which we have been endowed by a loving Creator.
