I read it and disagreed with it. Frankly I’m sick of the subject, but wished to express my opinion at least once. The U.S. constitution says very clearly there will be no religious test for federal office, but many so-called conservatives don’t seem to take that document very seriously, or so it seems to me.
And Dreher is a member of an un-American Church whose European leadership essentially regarded the US as a “protestant satan” until the second Vatican Council.

He leads with saying Mormons are not Christians because they don’t follow orthodoxy - that was enough that I don’t really want to listen to the rest. Attacking fellow Christians isn’t a way to get me interested. People who put up elaborate rules to claim others are not Christians are harmful, in my experience.
I’ve seen it done to Catholics. I’ve seen it done to protestants and its being done to Mormons. Its never good.
