I think Mitt would be good for religious freedom in the country because he’s a member of a persecuted minority.

And the problem with Huckabee is that he is part of the persecutor class. Not all evangelicals are so full of themselves, but the ones that are, are dangerous to religious freedom indeed.

This is how bad a Huckabee nomination would be. Utah votes consistently the most conservatively in national elections of ANY state. But if the choice is between Huckabee and Hillary or Obama in 2008, Huckabee will lose in Utah. Hillary will squeak out a victory, but Obama will win convincingly. Why? Because Mormons see a festering malignancy of religious intolerance in Huckabee's campaign that frightens them more than the woefully misguided policy views of Hillary or Obama.

You heard it here first.

This is the typical liberal crap that's even being taught @ BYU these days (even BYU profs are writing about this openly--well at least one of them is). The white religious privileged are engaged in persecution & racism of the highest order, even subconsciously. Therefore it must be disordered & deconstructed in favor of multiculturalism, diversity, tolerance...

There ya have it: postmodern socialism as brought to you by the campus left, where even Republicans and once more conservative Mormons are attending to open their mouths to have this poured down their mouths for $16,000 to $22,000 per year.

From your pontificating, it appears you would tolerate any religion by making it illegal to oppose with words what Christians find heretical. Are you a Mormon holding such an attitude?... We all know you're a Mitt supporter.

Those opposing what we see as heresies in Mormonism are not demanding Mormonism Apologists be squelched at FR, nor are we calling for banning or their posts be forbidden at FR. You, on the other hand, are coming very close to such a talibanesque approach to silence exposure of the peculiarities in Mormonism. Get you liberal candidate nominated, then see what your blind sycophancy strategy of cry bigotry to cover Mitt's liberalism will accomplish.

Think of Oprah giving a speech in which she points out that until 1978 blacks were denied entry to mormon temples, thus couldn't enter mormon "Heaven"...and "Gov. Romney, since a huge mission of your church is to baptize by proxy all those who died without the mormon baptism, has your church made a special project of baptizing all the blacks that were left out ?"

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson holding rallies in the southern states and repeating Oprah's words. Can Mitt win without the south?

The possibilities are endless. And even if Hillary wins the nomination, SOME high profile black can and most probably WILL make that speech.

You heard it here first.

Oh heck! They are SO used to that; it's like water off of a ducks back!

They might fuss over losing the PRIMARY, but, come election time for the Big House, they will vote their conservative conscience; just like always.

Hint: Utah is 59% Mormon, and we hear from them ALL the time in these threads that RELIGION should not matter at all in a vote for the Presidency. Therefore, they will vote FOR Huckabee because he is LESS Liberal than the Witch!
