Teacher calls police after Guns N' Roses karaoke scare
School custodian's rendition of 'Welcome to the Jungle' prompts police call
2 hours, 54 minutes ago
ROXBURY, Conn. - State police say the teacher at Booth Free School barricaded herself inside a classroom Wednesday when she mistook someone singing a Guns N' Roses song over the public address system for a threat.

Six troopers and three police dogs showed up and found three teenagers, one of them a custodian at the school, who had been playing with the public address system.
Police say one of them sang "Welcome to the Jungle" into the microphone. The song contains the lyrics "You're in the jungle baby; you're gonna die."
The teenagers were cuffed for about 15 minutes while police investigated. They didn't realize anyone else was in the school at the time.

Reminds me of the Bowling for Soup song When did Motley Crue become classic rock?

I though to told you to BURN their records, Tipper. Is THAT how we got global warming?... burning records?
To: Mr. Brightside
Calling a song a “classic” and a former “hit” are two different things.

I can’t believe the police actually cuffed the kids.
I worked in a grocery store as a teen, and we always fooled around with the PA system after hours. It’s what they’re made for, isn’t it??

The way this teacher responded it would have been interesting if boys had done Barry White karaoke instead.

When I was a factory foreman we had a bunch of ex cons from a halfway house working in the shop. I used to page them by their prison numbers.

You have GOT to be kidding. Someone sings a 20 year old rock song and gets suspended?
