The entire episode was despicable, nauseating even. It was unworthy of the US to behave so cravenly to placate the Arab barbarians. I am utterly shocked. What has become of honor, of pride?
I don’t know why Israel doesn’t just tell all of them to shove it and just go about its business. Nobody in the Muslim axis has any interest in peace, they simply want to push the Jews into the ocean (that they use the ‘Palestinians’ as a foil is farcical enough.) Why we go through this Kabuki theater with every administration is really starting to make my head spin and why the Israelis bother going through the motions is beyond me.
It might have something to do with 6 billion in mostly military aid, and the possible support of her enemies with all manner of aid both military and economic.
Remember, Bush was once a “front runner” back in 2000.
Vote Duncan Hunter, but whatever you do, do not vote for a “front runner” because they “can win”. You do not “win” when you vote for a “winner” who will turn on you.
See my tagline ...
Yes, and meanwhile the Palis continue to kill their people.
True, but as long as the Israelis keep electing surrender monkeys, it’s not surprising that the rest of the world is starting not to care.
This is the first I’ve heard of this - was this “separate entrance” thing reported in the MSM? It sounds deplorable, actually inexcusable. How can there be “peace” if the “peace process” is negotiated under such terms?
The White House will sell the U.S. down the river also. We need radical change.
It sounds as if the bad behavior was mostly on the part of the Saudis, not President Bush. And there’s no way he can make the Saudis share a door with Israel if they refuse to do so, short of cancelling the meeting. Maybe that would have been a good idea, but if the separate door story is true, then Olmert apparently also agreed to it.
Until recently, Bush was the best friend Israel ever had in the White House. I agree that things have deteriorated, but it’s very hard for the US to back Israel against the Palestinians when Olmert and his political buddies like Peretz and Barak are leading the charge to surrender.
How is Bush supposed to back Israel when the Prime Minister of Israel refuses to do so?
Bush continues to lose credibility on all fronts. Supporting Israel is a must, and lately he’s been slacking off.
High Volume. Articles on Israel can also be found by clicking on the Topic or Keyword Israel. or WOT [War on Terror]

I was shocked at the way we treated the Israelis and kissed the collective asses of the damn mooselimbs.
Bullhockey. President Bush sanctioned this racism and allowed it to occur in a ridiculous sham of a'peace conference' done is his name.
And theres no way he can make the Saudis share a door with Israel if they refuse to do so, short of cancelling the meeting
Which is exactly what he should have done and then pointed out these acts of overt anti-Semitism for what they are.
How is Bush supposed to back Israel when the Prime Minister of Israel refuses to do so?
He could start by refusing to sponsor farcical 'conferences'. He could also call Saudi racism by it's right name loudly and publicly.

I don’t disagree with you. I have been critical of the “peace process” ever since Oslo showed up on the radar. But Olmert doesn’t come out of this affair smelling like a rose, either.
As far as I can tell, the whole conference was just an exercise in window dressing. And Olmert as well as Bush went along with it. if Israel is to be protected, which I have always fought for, then it has to start with the Israelis themselves. Olmert has done far more damage to his own people than Bush could possibly do, so starting a food fight between allies and pretending that Olmert is the offended good guy and Bush is the offending bad guy makes little sense.
