I don’t know why Israel doesn’t just tell all of them to shove it and just go about its business. Nobody in the Muslim axis has any interest in peace, they simply want to push the Jews into the ocean (that they use the ‘Palestinians’ as a foil is farcical enough.) Why we go through this Kabuki theater with every administration is really starting to make my head spin and why the Israelis bother going through the motions is beyond me.

It might have something to do with 6 billion in mostly military aid, and the possible support of her enemies with all manner of aid both military and economic.

Israel and its military force are very small. The other nations of the world and their military forces comprise a rather large enemy.

Iran Assessment Creates an Israeli Headache

Excerpt:
"At the Annapolis peace talks last month, the Israeli team — Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and Defense Minister Ehud Barak — didn't have high expectations for making headway on the Palestinian issue, but they were confident of pressing their case on Iran to a receptive White House. Instead, Barak was taken aside by U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates, and told that new intelligence persuaded the Americans that Iran wasn't such a big threat after all."

So Israel, faced with our US leadership and its surprise alliance with so many Islamist nations at Annapolis, had to back down in order to buy a little more time.

It's not too difficult to see as to why.
