COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - The man who killed four people at a church and missionary training center died of a self-inflicted shotgun wound, police said Tuesday.

Matthew Murray, 24, was struck multiple times by a security officer at New Life Church Sunday but died after firing a single shot at himself, the El Paso County Coroner's Office concluded after an autopsy.

I've read no where in the past few days that he fired the last shot. What I've read was while he was down, he went for a (smoke) grenade, she told don't do it and she shot him again to stop the threat.

A story credited to an unnamed source, as I recall. I don't think Assam mentioned a thing about that in her press conference. It's becoming clear that the MSM badly misreported this in their rush to get something onto print and screen.

Yeah I think it was a bus driver. She got off the bus and said something “derogatory” to him during an investigation.. he happened to tape it. She did not know about the tape.

Only reason I know this is because the idiots over at DU were making a big deal out of it already.. I wanted to see what their reaction would be to an armed person taking down a threat and sure enough.. they had dug up dirt on her already.

Before I heard this news, I had suspected the gunman might have offed himself...note that she says she "took him down" and she couldn't offer details of the incident because it was under investigation.

It seems like you may be right. Among all these threads is a link to a Greg Knapp interview with the other hero, the unarmed guy that rushed the gunman. His name is something french so I have an impediment for remembering it.

He said he has know idea what the media are talking about, because he and Jeanne stood over the shooter discussing the situation like they were “in the parking lot.”
