...HEAVY SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO

7 PM MST TUESDAY EVENING ABOVE 6500 FEET...

TWO STORM SYSTEMS WILL IMPACT THE AREA TONIGHT INTO EARLY WEDNESDAY

RESULTING IN WIDESPREAD PRECIPITATION. THE FIRST SYSTEM WAS OVER THE

NORTH CENTRAL BAJA COAST THIS AFTERNOON AND WILL TRACK THROUGH

ARIZONA LATER TONIGHT. THE SECOND STORM WILL ENTER THE STATE

TUESDAY FROM THE NORTH...BRINGING COLDER AIR INTO THE AREA AND

PROLONGING THE CHANCE OF SHOWERS. THE COMBINATION OF THESE TWO

STORM SYSTEMS WILL RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL BY LATE TUESDAY

AND WEDNESDAY.

THE BEST TIMING FOR SNOW PRODUCTION WILL BE THIS EVENING AND

THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY ON TUESDAY. SNOW AMOUNTS ABOVE 6500 FEET

WILL RANGE FROM AROUND 12 TO 15 INCHES IN THE 24 HOUR PERIOD

BEGINNING FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH EARLY TUESDAY EVENING.

A HEAVY SNOW WARNING MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE

EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE FORECAST

THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN AN EMERGENCY. IF

YOU MUST...KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT...FOOD...AND WATER IN YOUR

VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.
