We all need to pinch ourselves because Bill Press sez we are dead. I could feel my blood pressure climbing as I scanned this piece, but found myself laughing instead at the dim logic and leftie lies oozing from the keyboard of this marionette. As we know from these lefties the opposite of what they say is what actually is and what they fear, so maybe we aren't all dead after all, maybe more alive than their night terrors can fathom. He fears Terri! Heh heh.

..........The religious right is dead. It will never again exercise the political clout it once had — which is bad news for Republicans, but good news for the republic.

While in the long term, some moderate Republicans might welcome relief from having to genuflect in front of the pro-life movement and Terri Schiavo, the short-term political impact for the Republican Party is a disaster.......

All time most eulogized...

"One of the most striking aspects of the lists is that they blend the slightly gossipy appeal of guest books for celebrities with the very personal, almost religious and familial aspect of remembering more ordinary people," said Professor Toby Miller, chair of media and cultural studies at the University of California, Riverside, who reviewed the lists at the request of Legacy.com. "The Guest Books commemorate the famous, but also make renowned the suffering of those who aren't famous."

Labeled the "granddaddy" of online obituary and memorialization sites by MarketWatch, Legacy.com hosts obituaries and memorials for more than 60 percent of the people who die in the United States and attracts more than 10 million unique visitors each month.

Religious right is dead

Didn't the media declare conservatism "dead" when Barry Goldwater (who some call the "father of conservatism" even though he never really was a true conservatism) lost to LBJ? And then didn't the media say that conservatism was REALLY "dead" when Ford beat Reagan for the GOP nomination in 1976? This is just another variation on that same theme. The left will always minimize and marginalize the importance and influence of what they fear the most.

Terri’s movement against euthanasia is a global one. I guess in Bill Press’ world, the earth is dead.
