I’m guessing the 500 was a SWAG estimate. But 12 mags of 30 each of 5.56mm fits into 4 standard GI pouches, and that’s 360 right there. Add the 30 in the rifle for 390, and a loose bandoleer puts you over 500 easy, and not so heavy as to restrict mobility. Shoot, that’s just ammo. Our troops run around with that plus a ton of other gear, all over heavy body armor. (Which BTW, Murray may have been wearing.)

Darn good thing the lady shooter nailed him!

If he had gotten up into a choir loft....................

I doubt he was anywhere near as fit as our troops. :)

Put me in that much stuff, and I’d lie on the ground like a slug and you could dispatch me with a BBQ fork.

There are some very well-trained shooters in the CS area, and some VERY nice training facilities...

...The Olympic Shooting Center is the largest indoor shooting facility in the Western Hemisphere and the third largest in the world. The center features 29 50-meter firing points for rifle and pistol shooting, eight 25-meter pistol bays for rapid-fire pistol and women's sports pistol, four 10-meter running target rifle ranges and 72 10-meter air rifle and air pistol fire points....

The Olympic Complex, former home of ENT Air Force Base and the headquarters of the North American Defense Command, officially became USOC administrative headquarters in July 1978. In October 1996 and April 1997, the USOC officially dedicated and opened its new $23.8 million, Phase II facilities-a state-of-the-art sports medicine and sport science center, an athlete center, which includes a dining hall and two residence halls. The USOC is able to provide housing, dining, recreational facilities and other services for up to 557 coaches and athletes at one time on the complex.

And, of course, it's quite possible that she's former USAF from either the CS Cheyenne Mountain Operations Center or the USAF academy, both of which have very well-trained armed guards.

Mags are a simple pound apiece when loaded. That’s only 17 mags, and 17 pounds, for 500 rounds.

P.S. Notice how the fact he was homeschooled is an issue in the press. He is 24 years old but the press wants to make hay of his home schooling, as though that turned him into a lonely and crazed loser.
