The perp's immigration status is not addressed in this article. With $2 million bail, my guess is that his green card is not up to date....

“Garcia, Torres said, had been hitting the child for days, according to police.”
Mom is a worthless she-dog if she knew this and did not stop it!

From this link....
Man held in childs death
....Hazleton Detective Christopher Orozco had to translate during the proceeding. Garcia said he was born in the Dominican Republic and was in the United States legally. Zola asked him to produce his green card but Garcia could not, saying they were with his attorney in Rochester, N.Y. When asked why they were with an attorney...
Keep reading, it gets worse.
Prayers for Emanuel.

This gent is a “Dominicanyork”, one of many that have moved to PA from NY (along with the Ricans) due to the rapid increase in rents in NYC. It appears as though he is here legally as well.

These are worthless illegals. The shame is that if they’d stayed in Mexico nothing would have been done about the beatings.

It appears as though he is here legally as well.Maybe, maybe not. But if the alleged perp was dealing drugs and did have a green card, his green card should've been yanked and his butt deported.

God help the little children. They are so defenseless in the face of monsters like these.
And may the abuser get his just rewards at the hands of his maker. I hope he enjoys eternal damnation.

Thanks for the links.
If he IS here illegally, we can thank the Federal Court for striking down Mayor Barletta’s ordinance that required landlords to verify immigration status when renting out housing.

Mom is a worthless she-dog if she knew this and did not stop it! Correct, probably doesn't know who the real father is.

Zola asked him to produce his green card but Garcia could not, saying they were with his attorney in Rochester, N.Y. When asked why they were with an attorney, Garcia said police in New York took them after they raided his house under suspicion that he had cocaine. Garcia said he was found not guilty of that charge four or five months ago. When asked for his previous addresses, Garcia said he did not remember them but that he lived in Rochester and in the Bronx before moving to Hazleton two months ago
Sure I believe he bought some good forged papers with his drug money
