How can you not be pro-gay if you believe people are born that way? If you believe they are born that way, created by God that way, then there is really nothing wrong with the lifestyle, correct? If God creates a person to be gay, then he must approve of it, correct? I can’t imagine a loving God creating a human being to be enslaved to a behavior, a behavior that he cannot change. God has condemned homosexuality, yet He creates people that will have no choice but to be attracted to their own sex? It’s a little hard for me to understand.

So, if someone is born with major deficiencies, with a barely functional brain for instance, does that mean God approves of such deformed humans? Or how about this. What if someone is born with a propensity towards a particular mental ailment. Because homosexuality is little more than a mental disorder.

Good question. The answer in a nutshell is that every one of us was created by God, and He has created us all sinners.

Unfair! Yes, it's unfair. But that's the way it works.

To help put it into better perspective, let's change the issue from homosexuality to adultery. Let's take a word or two in your sentence above and change it to read like this:

Many married men do give in to the siren call that enslaves their minds - the call to cheat on their wives.

But fortunately, having the basement regions of your brain being enslaved - off and on - to thoughts of lust (with the ratio of "off" to "on" fluctuating, based on your exposure to Hollywood and the seamier side of the internet), it turns out that the enslavement of your brain, the path it is being led down, does not necessarily translate to the enslavement of your behavior.

As just a few examples:

• Many heterosexual husbands have actually remained faithful to their wives for their entire marriages. I am not making this up! I'm sure I've read on snopes that the existence of this group is NOT an urban legend. And this, IN SPITE of the massive pro-adultery crusades from Hollywood, the music industry, the book publishers, the racy enticing ads that run back & forth across your browser if you make the mistake of visiting your hotmail inbox after midnight, and from many other sources.

  Now, if these men were True To Themselves (note: this phrase is a registered trademark of some GLBT group whose name I forget), then they would gather their children and wife together to tell them that they have been Living A Lie (trademarked by same group) and were now Coming Out Of The Closet (ditto), and were now going to Face Reality - that God created them to lust after other women, so how on earth could this be a Bad Thing if God made them that way? And they would have a Coming Out Party to introduce their ex-family to the woman or women, half of Daddy's age, who he's now going to live with forever, or at least "forever, or until death or end-of-lust doth us part, whichever comes first". And the swelling music with the lilting violins would convince us all that this was another Happy Hollywood Ending.

• Many ex-gays and ex-lesbians likewise have resisted Sexually Destructive Impulses (registered TM by those of us on the Christian Right), have married people of the opposite sex, had children, and describe their marriages as happy. Amazingly, even though many of them still struggle with an occasional lustful same-sex thought, just as self-described Happily Married heterosexual men report occasional lustful opposite-sex thoughts, it turns out that both the married ex-gays and the married heterosexual men somehow resist turning these thoughts into "behavior," and thus preserve their families intact.
• Many ex-smokers have successfully refrained from a cigarette for years, even though their brains still lure them towards nicotine. One man who hadn't lit up in over 7 years told me that the nicotine still called to him on occasion. Certain neural pathways in his brain never totally disappeared. Now, if Hollywood applied the same rule to ex-smokers that they do to ex-gays - ie the rule of Being True To Yourself By Acting Out Whatever Desire Is Calling To You From The Depths Of Your Brain, then these ex-smokers would be redefined as: Smokers Who Are Denying Their True Selves And Are Deceiving Themselves By Claiming They Are "Ex-" Smokers.
• Many ex-alcoholics and ex-druggies are refusing to Be True To Themselves, by repeatedly refusing to follow those siren calls that have never completely left their brains.
• Many drivers who experience a white-hot impulse for 0.05 seconds to kill the guy who just cut them off, by crashing their own car into the other guy's and dying together in a flaming holocaust, have actually declined to follow through on their initial impulse, and let the little weasel (and themselves) survive to drive another day.

Yes, I realize it is truly sad that so many of us are Living A Lie. If only we could be more like the other species that cohabit our planet and instantly give in, without a second thought, to every single impulse we've ever had, whether sexual or violent or suicidal or some combo of the above! What a perfect world this could be, if our behavior was indistinguishable from invertebrates!

Hollywood has been doing a diligent job of getting us started down this road. I only wonder how far the West will "progress" down that path before the Muslims take over? Their radical wing made a major mistake by getting impatient and starting the violence too early. If they just sit on their hands and do nothing to us for another generation or two, all the while successfully keeping a wall between Hollywood and their own children, they'll be able to take over with a minimum of bloodshed.
