So, if someone is born with major deficiencies, with a barely functional brain for instance, does that mean God approves of such deformed humans? Or how about this. What if someone is born with a propensity towards a particular mental ailment. Because homosexuality is little more than a mental disorder.

I don’t think having a brain abnormality or some other sort of disability is something that is considered a sin and an abomination by God. Homosexual activity is something that one must consciously engage in, while being born with a brain abnormality that affects motor skills and other functions is not the type of thing a person can necessarily change. I don’t see a comparison between the two.

You mentioned homosexuality being a mental disorder. Well, I’ll agree that it isn’t normal behavior. But, if we are to give free reign in our society to every type of mental disorder, wouldn’t we have to have the same attitude towards pedophiles, rapists, murderers and the like? Don’t we have to accept folks as they are? Who knows, maybe most of today’s criminals were born with some sort of genetic flaw that makes them want to rape and kill. Should we be “all inclusive” and show them compassion and tolerance instead of trying to make them out to be a pox on society? We could take any kind of misbehavior and abnormality and pass it off as something a person was born with. Where do we draw the line? Let me be clear in saying that I’m not comparing homosexuals to murderers, but I’m trying to point out that some crooks will argue that they were born with something that made them more likely to become a criminal. After all, who would choose to rape or kill? Who in their right mind would want to do such a thing?
