A few things to keep in mind here:
- There are a lot of details re the perp's death that are deliberately being kept under wraps by the CSPD while the investigation still goes on. During the first press conf with Assam, the police kept breaking in right after the press asked certain questions, and said that those kinds of questions would not be answered at this time. So it's anyone's guess as to when the CS PD will allow those details out. Perhaps they have started to already, which is why we're hearing bits & pieces now - eg the # of bullets penetrating the armor. But anyway, I suspect that the seeming inconsistencies in the details of the perp's last moments before he descended, are due to the police blackout on certain types of information.
- The info on the number and type of guns has never been officially reported by the CSPD, at least from what I've heard. The info that has made it out to the press is contradictory. Sometimes it's "an assault rifle and two handguns" and other times it's "an AK-47, a handgun and a shotgun". Choose which ever answer best works for you!
- The "Fog Of War" effect. With this much drama and this many people all trying to find out any information they can, there is bound to be a ton of misinformation getting put out as truth. It doesn't necessarily mean anyone is deliberately prevaricating, so we should all be careful with the "Someone must be lying!!" accusations.

I agree... And add that in with all of our speculations and such, and it doesn’t really help I suppose. You’re right that there are good reason why the police would be withholding information. For instance, we have not heard if these guns were registered at all, and/or who they were registered to, etc... And that’s usually something that comes out pretty quickly. There are a lot of missing pieces right now.
