Thanks for filling in those blanks.

Am not surprised a lot of folks tried to help him.

Not surprised he resisted persistently. That makes helping him very, very PROBLEMATIC. One would have to be able to certify in court that he was an IMMINENT DANGER TO HIMSELF OR OTHERS to forcably “help” him. And there’s no guarantee that a hospitalization would help him in many cases.

Not surprised he was on an anti-depressant.

GETTING OFF THE ANTIDEPRESSANTS CAN BE A VERY CRITICAL TIME IN TERMS OF VIOLENCE POTENTIAL.

SOMEONE SHOULD have been monitoring him closely in terms of his compliance with actually taking the drug.

Exactly Quix... Going on these meds it is very important that you have support, as well as when going off of them. Tragedies happen when people try to come off of addictive medications and drugs of all sorts “cold-turkey”. I’ve seen it happen to a friend of mine years ago.. She was paranoid schizophrenic and decided one day to stop taking the medications she was on instead of talking with her doctors first... BIG MISTAKE!!! One must be weaned off of these medications, and with supervision/counseling. Quitting cold turkey can have disastrous results — especially if the problems that existed before they went on the meds has not been addressed adequately...
