Didn’t seem to affect bars in Ohio. If someone wants a beer with friends they will still go to bars. And restaurants still have long waits.
That's not what people in Ohio are telling me, including non-smokers.
My brother ones a great bar/dinner in Florida when a no smoking ban took place. He hated the idea, said he’d lose business and go under. However, he’s still there, didn’t go under and his business actually increased. So I suppose the fact of the matter is, people don’t like to smell cigerette smoke.
Most of the huge chains are probably ok, though I see with my own eyes here in NW oHeilOthat even those have lost about 15-20 per cent. The small, locally-owned bars and restaurants are dying, and closing in droves.
