Any business requires two things: supply and demand. Demand dries up, the seller goes bankrupt.

My sister and her shack-up stud were both addicts. They have never shaken the habit completely. Both are on SSI. We the taxpayer pay for these two miserable excuses for human beings.

I’ve come to the conclusion that the only way to eliminate the drug trade is to eliminate the demand, literally.

Addicts get two chances to clean up. The first is kindly, the second is harsh. The third time they are arrested it is a capital offence crime.

Kill the demand, cure the supply.

Kill the demand, cure the supply.

Declare open season on every known drug pusher and the people will eliminate the supply in 10 days

Libertarian Platform condensed:

1) Sell American jobs to lowest bidder.

2) Legalize drugs.

3) Open borders.

4) Rewrite the Constitution to reflect our anarchist leanings.

You are completely off-base here.

The problem is not the drugs. The problem is the money associated with the drugs.

Because they are illegal, the price is artificially inflated well beyond their production cost. This provides huge economic incentives to smuggle, deal and push drugs.

Switch to a system where "if you can pronounce it, you can buy it at the local pharmacy" and you will starve most of the really bad actors out of existence.

Meth is a particularly bad drug, in that it is hard on the body, but if both meth and coke were legal, coke would be by far the preferred drug. Coke isn't easy on the body, but it is a lot better than meth.

My sister and her shack-up stud were both addicts. They have never shaken the habit completely. Both are on SSI. We the taxpayer pay for these two miserable excuses for human beings.

If drugs were legal, it would be possible for these two people to both feed their habits and live a modest life on the income from two menial jobs, which is all they would be really qualified for.

This sounds a lot more humane than your proposal, and they could serve as living examples of why drugs are bad for you.

Remove the financial incentives through legalization, and our drug problem will become manageable almost overnight, and it will diminish over time.

Ahh, the execution strategy.

If you want to see an explosive increase in the number of cops and citizens getting involved in shootouts this is a great way to do so.
