Well, if anyone should be able to recognize a dysfunctional government, it would be a member of Congress.

So did Murtha add...”and I was utterly wrong about everything I had said previously”?

Oh, we're saved!! Thank goodness Murtha has voiced his criticisms and condemnations loudly and proudly all these months! Now, finally now, the tide is turning
because of him, hallelujah! Oh, mighty Murtha, how lucky we are in PA! ~end major sarcasm
Here in PA he can seemingly do no wrong, at least if we believe the local news, and many do. I think he finally did 'wise up' and realize good is happening over there, despite his sky is falling comments which turned many locals against (or at least 'confirmed' it's supposed failure) the efforts in Iraq. He sees the good and doesn't want to be left out. Typical.
idiot....
Agreed. Idiot.

It’s a trick...part of the dumRATS bag of dirty tricks !...They know they lost the issue of ‘ the war is going badly in Iraq’ so now they have to change the focus to ‘ ...but Iraq is still not meeting it’s goals we set’ !*
That will be the ‘RATS arguing point once the coronation is over and we hope they have to eat their words...In fact it is already happening- there has been a sea change in how the country is operating and the economy there is beginning to grow..The Pubs need to push that issue hard !..Come on Pubs in DC, get off your backs already !
* (note: not an original idea..maybe Krauthammer’s ?)...

Success has many fathers while failure is an orphan.
I would say Iraq is now a success.

IMO, this is the beginning of an orchestrated strategy to effectively remove Iraq as a “critical” issue in the upcoming ‘08 election. Once the primaries are over, the democrat nominee will want to come across as “supportive of the military”, especially in light of the trend toward less violence due to the successful “surge” strategy.
They will then be free to focus on their “bread and butter” domestic issues of the past 40 years.

Great. Now where could we send him where he could find some class and grace?

*snort* I sincerely hope you’ll need to plan an exit strategy out of DC in the not-too-distant future. Jackass.

This is featured on Drudge and will get some play. That is good, but Murtha owns his district. It is bought and paid for with pork. The only way Murtha goes is if there is an Abscam
type investigation that gets him, he retires, or dies in office.

Just like parts of Pennsylvania, only safer and less violent.

Re Murtha saying that “the central government in Baghdad is dysfunctional”.
Americans say that our “congress is DC is dysfunctional”. Maybe if we can get the Democrat Shiites out of office, it will function better.
“Murtha - check your refrigerator”. Bill Jefferson (D-La).
