It has been obvious to me for many years the police nationwide overuse the Taser Stun Gun.
The number of uses per year by large city departments is shockingly high in the many hundreds. The stun gun is not a substitute for the actual gun; it’ a substitute for the baton and mace. I believe the police are too quick to use what they consider a nonlethal weapon. When it turns deadly or they use it as the Lee County cops did in 2005 stunning an old man on camera; it reflects badly on all cops.
Many of the Taser deaths nationwide have been related to drug use by the suspect, so we shouldn't’t be too quick to condemn the individual patrolman for each incident that goes wrong.
The solution to this problem is simple and should be attacked from two directions. First the police should go back to busting heads with batons. Second the federal government should require warning labels on illegal drugs; “If you use this drug, running from the police may be fatal.”

Cops are too eager and quick to use tazers because they have been told they are harmless. But we have seen from dozens and dozens news stories of people dying from being tazed that it is far from harmless. I’ll bet more people die from being tazed by the police than from being shot by them.
If a cop can us a taser on me and call it “non lethal”, then I when I use it on a cop, it should be merely “resisting arrest”.

I went to the website and read their so-called facts. It seems to me that the main reason they don’t like Tasers is that they are too effective. If I were a protester intent on lobbing bottles and rocks, I would want Tasers banned as well. Their video of “peaceful” protesters being Tased is actually a bunch of violent anarchists with their faces covered. If a protest is peaceful, there is no need to cover your face.
Then everyone should own weapons that fire barbed hooks into flesh (not to mention electrocutions and heart attacks). It will be fun.

If cops are the good guys, why do they cover their faces?
Could it be because they don’t want to be identified when they use excessive force during their ‘dynamic entry’ raids on the wrong house?
