I’m just a plain old con. This neocon crap just plays into the hands of our enemies.
I think I can learn to like almost anyone who sees life through the right spectacles even if he happened upon such righteousness of late. I think I can learn to like almost anyone who agrees with me on most issues, provided our disagreements aren't regarding the most salient issues of our age.
I think when St. Paul first attained fame it was as an angel of death who felt death by slow torture was too good for Christians. These days he is quite readable, even though he was a bit of a dogmatist even later in life.
I’m with you. IMHO the Conservative philosophy doesn’t need revamping or remodeling. “Compassionate Conservative” is, I believe, a ‘neocon’ philosophy.
To me, neoconservative philosophy is merely an attempt at blending (or bending) conservative philosophy with that of the liberals.
