It's unlikely that Arkansas papers on Hillary Rodham Clinton's years as the state's first lady will be released before the 2008 election.

"How convenient..."

It's unlikely that Arkansas papers on Hillary Rodham Clinton's years as the state's first lady will be released before the 2008 election, says the director of the Little Rock library that holds former President Bill Clinton's gubernatorial files.

We needed the DIRECTOR of the Little Rock library to tell us this? I don't even work for the library and I could have told you that.

The guy said there is nothing shocking anyway though. I wonder how he knows. Do you think he was secretly hoping there was and is very disappointed that there was nothing. I know if I was running that place I would have read every page too and would have been pissed not to find anything. Poor guy had to read all that crap and did not find anything damaging. What a bummer!!!!

Are we in the Grand Canyon? There seems to be a continued echo surrounding the Hilarious train.

I didn’t even think of that. He very well could have done that. Do you think he might know the Clintons? This could end up being a story in itself if this is found out. We might get her afterall.

The papers aren't likely to include any bombshells about the former first lady, said Bobby Roberts, director of the Central Arkansas Library System, which is storing the Clinton papers at its main library.

Uh, Mr. Roberts, that is not a judgement for you to make, especially since your statement makes it clear that you have not personally seen all the documents.

No doubt six years (since the library opened) is way too short of a time period for anyone to have catalogued said papers. How silly of us to expect so much. /sarc

Synopsis of article:

“We won’t be releasing the previous political memos of the people running for the most powerful position in the world. We simply don’t have the time to process them”.

Lame.

In 1993, President Clinton appointed him (Bobby Roberts) to the National Commission on Libraries and Information Science.
