Good morning.

I’ve read RP’s positions on immigration and the welfare state and, while I don’t necessarily disagree with most of them, and absolutely support ending the anchor baby problem, I have serious doubts about his seriousness or his ability to implement most of them. No problem, all politicians try to talk a good game. They want you to vote for them.

His antiwar stance, however, is unforgivable. He is either a fool if he believes that giving up and leaving means an end to the war with Islam, or he is a cynic who is willing to risk our nation to get elected. Either should disqualify him and there is no need to argue more.

Not to argue but to make a point. The often unmentioned fact that this nation building police action in Iraq draws the strong disapproval of the majority of Americans...as many as 70% of them. I don't think any Republican that runs on continuing our current foreign policy can win.

Installing Islamic Shia governments who base their Constitution on Shria law, as we did with Iraq, helps in our war against Islamic fanaticism How?

How is our WOT helped by selling Israel down the river in Annapolis? Our support of Islamic jihad in Kosovo aimed at Christian Serbs? How does that help? Sending 60 million dollars of military hardware to the Saudi State which funded the 911 perps and continue to fund the spread of Wahabbism throughout the world. Is that a good idea? How goes it in nuclear Pakistan these days? Some whack a hornets nest? If General M learned anything from our once support of Saddam then he learned how far he could trust Washington.

We may declare victory in Iraq and begin to withdraw troops from there before the election to give Republicans even a chance of winning but there can be no denial that whenever we leave, we will leave in power a government more ideologically aligned with Tehran then Washington(same type of government)...What sense will this war have made then?
