His antiwar stance, however, is unforgivable. He is either a fool if he believes that giving up and leaving means an end to the war with Islam, or he is a cynic who is willing to risk our nation to get elected. Either should disqualify him and there is no need to argue more.

Not to argue but to make a point. The often unmentioned fact that this nation building police action in Iraq draws the strong disapproval of the majority of Americans...as many as 70% of them. I don't think any Republican that runs on continuing our current foreign policy can win.

Installing Islamic Shia governments who base their Constitution on Shria law, as we did with Iraq, helps in our war against Islamic fanaticism How?

How is our WOT helped by selling Israel down the river in Annapolis? Our support of Islamic jihad in Kosovo aimed at Christian Serbs? How does that help? Sending 60 million dollars of military hardware to the Saudi State which funded the 911 perps and continue to fund the spread of Wahabbism throughout the world. Is that a good idea? How goes it in nuclear Pakistan these days? Some whack a hornets nest? If General M learned anything from our once support of Saddam then he learned how far he could trust Washington.

We may declare victory in Iraq and begin to withdraw troops from there before the election to give Republicans even a chance of winning but there can be no denial that whenever we leave, we will leave in power a government more ideologically aligned with Tehran then Washington(same type of government)...What sense will this war have made then?

We decided the 60 million dollars of hardware was not enough, so we are selling them 20 billion in military equipment. Yes, 20 billion. I know our great friends would never point this 20 billion military hardware at our troops. Guess we should be happy they are spending their black gold with us and not Russia or China.

The world bank has approved a 900 million dollar loan to our friends in Iran, yes, Iran, who we consider part of the WOT, 900 million will end up coming from the US taxpayers. WHY are we funding Iran? Makes no sense.

80 million(S Jackson may have a better/higher figure) or so to Abbas and his Fatah who will end up using this money to fight Israel with the aid of Hamas.

Great Foreign Policy!

Good morning.

Your “often unmentioned fact” is neither unmentioned nor proved to be fact. It’s trotted out whenever the left wants to persuade others that the nation is behind them.

Asking whether one supports surrendering Iraq to the Islamists or withdrawing from the world stage in the hope that we will be left alone would give you a much different figure.

Did we install an Islamist government in Iraq, or are we giving a nascent democracy a chance to emerge? Time will tell, if we let it but if we leave you may be sure the fanatics will win and we will face them here. Where did you say? Malibu?

We aren’t selling Israel out so much as being incompetent in our demands to it on how it should deal with it’s enemies. Israel exists because of us but if we go along with Ron Paul's desire to stop foreign interventionism Israel will stand alone. Isn’t there something in the Bible about that?

Kosovo, like so many other problems we face is a problem bill clinton left us that W has failed to deal with. Cleaning house over at Foggy Bottom and Langley would go a long way toward fixing things, there and elsewhere.

Things are going in Pakistan the way they are and we will have to deal with it. Would it be better if we weren’t involved there? At least our good Spec Ops guys are rumored to be securing Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal.

You know, friend, you appear to support RP’s cut and run policy while saying that our allies can’t trust us not to cut and run. That’s certainly the case if Ron Paul or any DemocRAT wins the election.

Stay the course and leave a somewhat stable Iraq that might be our friend or declare defeat and insure the rule of Sharia law. We will see what sense the war makes if we lose.
