We couldn't believe this despicable story when we first heard it and neither could the folks at television station WFXT in Boston, MA.
Local Boy Scouts in Boston were collecting care package items to send to the troops during this holiday season - that is until city officials stepped in, called law enforcement and shut down their care package collections for the troops.
The mean, cold-hearted woman who shut down the Boy Scouts efforts is a city official named Marsha Weinerman of Boston, Massachusetts who was appointed to her post July 1, 2006.
You can contact Ms. Weinerman at this email address:
mWeinerman@cambridgema.gov
Or call her at:
(617) 349-4363
Here are the media stories about Ms. Weinerman's atrocious conduct:

And you can show up Ms. Weinerman and those opposed to our troops by sponsoring a Christmas/holiday care package for our troops - and we'll be more than happy to send it over to Iraq and Afghanistan with love and appreciation:

Hey — that’s cool! But you know - the story about the mom is really a sad thing. It’s too bad she couldn’t have talked to YOU rather than just complain.
I know that’s Uncle Fester back row far right but is he wearing a hijab or a nun’s habit?
Look at her last name and that should answer your question.
That weenie woman!
You have to make it easy to email this person.
I have referred to her as the mean ol' lady.
Maybe cold hearted is Melanie Morgan's term, but for women, being called a mean old lady is something that has got to hurt.
Even if she might be in her twenties, I imagine those Boy Scouts probably think her of as a mean ol' lady.
Is that the description for an executive director for elections in Massachusetts?
Maybe there is some criminal activity that she is involved in...
I would not be surprised...
I think this woman wants to go after the accolades that Hanoi Jane Fonda had in Vietnam...
It is after Thanksgiving in Iraq, so if you let folks over there know about this one, it will not ruin their Turkey Dinner.
I think Freepers and Lurkers to see if she might be involved in Criminal Activity. She is the Executive Direction of Elections, which is a politically appointed position.
Knowing Boston politics, she might be involved in some dirty things...
Be careful about reading this thread -- it might make you very mad.
I wonder if this woman might be involved in Political Corruption...
Nancy Pelosi is always saying we should investigate this and that...
Maybe there are some skeletons in Ms. Marsha Weinerman's closet.
After all, she is the Executive Director of Elections in the Boston, Massachusetts area...
scanning thru - do we know yet who the ‘complainer’ was?
But on Election Day, Marsha Weinerman, executive director of the Election Commission, removed the boxes from all the polling stations because one woman, a poll worker who does not deserve to be named, complained it was a political statement.
While there are rumors that the complaining woman called the ACLU and her lawyer called the Election Commission threatening to sue the city, we have no knowledge of whether that did or did not happen.
The only half-hearted excuse the executive director gave, in the end, was that any and all flyers were not allowed and needed to be 150 feet outside polling areas or needed to be taken down. Yet at the location where this woman was complaining the flyer was on a bulletin board with 75 other flyers, including ones promoting Get Out of Iraq, Campus Green, College Democrats of America,Chinas New Property Law, Save the Non-Proliferation Regime and Global Warming. The only flyer the Election Commission removed was those evil Boy Scout collecting things for the troops. And when asked about this, the executive director said that was another mistake on their part and that she was personally going to remove all the other flyers right then. But at 8 p.m. when the polls closed, one of our kids checked this bulletin board and saw no other flyers were ever removed.
Marsha Weinerman said the Boy Scouts actions are ‘too pro-war’ and ordered law enforcement to remove the care package collection boxes.
On Friday, the head of the election commission tried to clear the air, but continued to look like the Grinch Who Hates Troops. Finally, Cambridges City Council is putting the breaks on the acrimony.
The Cambridge Chronicle reports that the council voted to allow donation boxes at various locations around the city.
The council voted Monday night to allow the Scouts to place their donation boxes in city-owned buildings around the city, including all of the fire stations, the police headquarters, City Hall and the City Hall annex.
This is going to have a really tangible impact, City Councilor Brian Murphy said.
And, to those who left comments about how evil Cambridge is, city officials would like you to know theyre hurt.
Vice Mayor Tim Toomey, who had assumed the role of the councils spokesperson in the initial aftermath of the situation, said he was offended at the allegation that Cambridge is somehow against those serving in the American military.
Some of the comments weve heard about the city of Cambridge from around the country have been very hateful, Toomey said. I find it very offensive.
This is the only city that gives its service men and women full pay while theyre fighting overseas, he added, referring to the citys recent decision to pay city employees actively enlisted in the armed forces at their full-time rates, including benefits, while theyre stationed overseas.
During a discussion about the debacle between a troop of boy scouts and the citys Election Commission, City Councilor Henrietta Davis lamented over the Chronicles characterization of the story.
Specifically, Davis said she was upset the Chronicle used words like booted and ousted to describe what had happened to the Scouts on Election Day two weeks ago.
In response, Mayor Ken Reeves said of the Chronicle, Its not a newspaper.
Amusing...a group of authority figures sit around at a council meeting...worried about a newspaper, and its writings...more than actual truth or facts. They worried about the use of the English language, and its use. They worried about whether a publication “IS” or “ISN’t” a newspaper.
What kind of council would spin wheels in such a fashion?
I am reminded of Joan of Arc...who sat a great mass of authority figures who would not commit to a fight, or battle the invaders to their country, or lead men into battle. So this teenage girl did what no person in authority could do...she lead a small group of French solders and common people into battle...ousting the enemy. She would put to death by the figures of authority...both political and religious...condemned over actually doing something.
The town council in Cambridge...is waiting for its own version of Joan of Arc to arrive...and probably lead its poor people out of the shadows. The authority figures may condemn this new “Joan of Arc”...but the town needs something which it isn’t getting.
Miss Weinerman sounds like an ANTI-CHRISTIAN!!!! She is giving Jews a very bad name.
The Scouts should have told the weiner bimbo that they were anchor babies and that their presence in the city was helping their thirty-eight extended family members maintain criminal residency. They could have added that their scout uniforms were just a disguise to fool the rubes, and that the money they were raising was going to Al Qaeda. Then maybe Weiner-schnitzel would have allowed them to continue.
Of course, unlike liberal election officials, Scouts don’t lie, so they couldn’t do that.
