Considering O’Malley’s attitude toward the faithful, I don’t blame the parishioners of St. Joseph’s.

St. Joseph's was closed by Bishop Harrington, here in Worcester, and his treatment at the hands of the 'occupiers' was atrocious. Yes, he was adamant about the closing, and he didn't try to make anyone 'feel better' about it. But, at the time of the closing, the people who were complaining were no longer members of that parish, but they believed it should be kept open because that's where they had been Baptized, and some were married. But they were no longer supporting the Parish; they just got their knickers in a twist and wanted to claim they were being dis-respected by the Church.

As I said in a previous post, coming from MS, which has about a 3% Catholic population overall, there are still folks who are happy to have a Church within a 20 minute drive from their home. I didn't feel sorry for the folks in Worcester who could have attended a different Parish Church one block away, but decided, in their selfishness, to create a big stink about it.
