I am part Lakota Sioux and for me Thanksgiving is a time to see the Lions and the Cowboys play and Madden bring out the Turduken.

They can Mourn in their way and I'll Mourn in mine. Let's say Grace and Thank the Lord God Almighty (and then pass the Gravy please)...

Enough with the empty gestures! These tactics are only to drum up contraversy. Not one of the liberals behind this really gives a hoot. If they truly feel so guilty in Seattle - they could just give the whole darn city to the Indians. Give them your homes, your cars, your businesses. Now that would show some real concern that would be significant. That would be a Thanksgiving the Indians could celebrate. Otherwise, please quit whining and trying to divide people by making problems where none exist, and coming up with meaningless ideas of no benefit to anyone.

no replies Come on people. Thanksgiving is a great holiday to point out the obvious failure of Communism. I'm shocked there are no replies to my post.

Why do we have to divide people up into fighting groups just to advance the dubious cause of political correctness? We DON'T have to. That's just the way liberals have advanced their agenda for years. Too many people believe the B.S.

Join us for a Thanksgiving Feast! Thursday November 22 from 10am to 10pm, just $19.95 per person Actually I'm going to be at Suquamish for 2 free nights and triple-points. They're certainly celebrating!

I know. Actually, all kidding aside, it was the most disheartening part of my job. These are American citizens. They should know better. I think all the positions that we have held that required contact with the general public led my husband and myself to choose homeschooling.

I know what you mean. It's different for me to be writing about it, but when you are face to face with a person who asks these questions, you really have to cultivate a poker face.
I hated it when parents would ask these ridiculous types of questions. Invariably, their kids would be all ears, so I would try and answer them without making mom or dad look like a complete nincompoop.
That's been over 10 years ago, I can only hope things have changed, but I seriously doubt it.

After roughly 400 years of contact with Europeans, by the time the American frontier was finally closed, the Indians were no more advanced than when the Europeans first arrived.

And Lord, thank you for bringing me into this homeschooling family where we celebrate Thanksgiving without getting a memo from the thought police. And Lord, please smite the killjoys. And Lord, bless Norman Rockwell richly. And Lord . . .

just WOW!! And seriously think about it, these folks probably VOTE!! No wonder this country is going down the tubes!
Oh, we (as in the sane, level-headed, non-PC, upright citizens of Washington) vote, alright...it's just that OUR votes don't get counted, and those in King County get counted MORE than ours do. (Want proof? See the last election for Governor.)
