An ad hominem rebuttal at it’s worst. It provides no factual substance whatsoever. But then what else would you expect from Kerry?
To: Sub-Driver; All
Is Kerry doing this because he’s running for re-election in 08, or is he planning to jump into the presidential race in 08?
His last campaign iirc was based on the Boston Globe insisting that he was running unopposed (his opponent got 20% of the vote, not too bad for someone who does not exist, um, is unperson).
The mediamatters article can only dig up four or five instances where there may be inconsistencies in various statements, not too impressive.
What would be very impressive is for Kerry to release an x-ray of his leg showing the shrapnel he claims sets off airport metal detectors all the time.

decorated veterans from John McCain to Max Cleland and John KerryLove the equivalence implied here.
Though I disagree with the politics of both Cleland and McCain, you can't dispute that one left three limbs and the other left five years of his life in Vietnam.
What'd Kerry leave there, other than maybe a stink?

Kerry Says Hes Finally Ready to Refute Swift Boat Veterans [semi-satire]
Senator John Kerry (D-Mass.) whose bid for the presidency in 2004 was damaged by attacks on his vaunted Vietnam War record by a group called Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, says he is now ready to refute their allegations.
We have put together a powerful and irrefutable rebuttal to the scurrilous charges made against me by these right wing fanatics, Kerry asserted.
Kerry declined to disclose any of his reputedly irrefutable proof at this time saying that the American people have not yet shown a sufficient measure of regret and contrition for voting against me. They disrespected mea decorated veteranand reelected a draft-dodging doofus. Until I get an apology, Im holding my fire.
Kerry said he expects that Americas eagerness to finally hear the full story will build to an unbearable level. Then theyll apologize just so they can satisfy their curiosity. They wont be disappointed. The senator
did offer a teaser when he hinted that he has evidence indicating that the war would have ended differently had he not been forced out of action by his wounds.

At first I thought, thats not Rush, thats just the OxyContin talking. Nonetheless, this is a despicable but unsurprising new lie from a man whose closest brush with combat came when customs officials tried to take away his Viagra. This portly peddler of hate is once again wrong on the facts. Oh, how we yearn for the time of Kennedy's Camelot when Democrats spoke in poetry, LOL.

The story about John Kerry going into Cambodia for the CIA wasn't a story that Kerry just told over beers.
He wrote a detailed story about the adventure and it was published in the Boston Herald under the byline, "By John Kerry."
Vietnam then was worlds apart from 'Apocalypse Now'

Reading through David Wade’s long string of personal attacks, I didn’t see him mention any specific thing that Swift Boat Vets got wrong.
If the truth was on David Wade’s side he won’t have to do so much hand waving.
To: Sub-Driver
Kerry served his country with honor in Vietnam, and has fought for his fellow veterans ever since.
Uh-huh.
