I've lived in Minnesota, and I wouldn't put Minneapolis on the list. It is the land of 10,000 lakes - and 10,000 taxes. Also, I'm no wimp - I lived there 12 years. But the winters are just brutal. Summers are hot, humid (did I say 10,000 lakes) and you can't go outside in the summer without bug dope. Blech.

I've also lived in Pittsburgh (note, 'h' on the end). As I understand it from relatives still living there - PA has become a joke as far as political corruption. Hard to enjoy life when you feel you're getting shafted every time you turn around. Although if you're weighting sports high, it is hard to beat Pittsburgh - go Steelers! ;-)

On the increasinly rare occasions that the Stillerz lose, there is a collective, community sense of depression. Kinda like they should start pumping Paxil into the Mon...

And I duly noted your 'h.' Thanks, n'at.

I’ve traveled quite a bit over the years, and I’ve always thought the Twin Cities was the best “big city” (metro area of 2 million or more) in the U.S. Yeah, it’s cold — and it can be humid in the summer . . . but most cities have some nature-related flaw of that sort.

I recently moved the Philadelphia and am astounded at the corruption. All the recent election adds were a question of who is more corrupt.

And New Jersey!
