Bahrain Prince Says Iran Developing Nuclear Arms
November 03, 2007
Washington Times
LONDON Bahrain's crown prince, in interviews to British newspapers published yesterday, said Iran is developing atomic weapons or the capability to do so. This is the first time an Arab state in the Persian Gulf has openly accused Tehran of lying about its contentious nuclear plan, the Times of London said.
"While they don't have the bomb yet, they are developing it, or the capability for it," Sheik Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa told Times correspondents in the Bahrain capital Manama.
He urged a diplomatic solution to the standoff between the West and Bahrain's close neighbor, and warned that "the whole region" would be drawn into any military conflict.
"We need to be very well aware that this could escalate. And we think that is not advisable," the Daily Telegraph quoted him as saying.
Bahrain is a Sunni Muslim-ruled dynasty with a population that is 60 percent Shi'ite, the same branch of Islam that dominates Iran.

Everyone knows it except the IAEA's ElBaradei
El Baradei knows. His sister is married to the Mullahs.
He has an agenda (ignored by the West).

.......warned that “the whole region” would be drawn into any military conflict.....
Which is pretty much what I have been posting for many months. The region includes Israel, Iraq, Afghanistan, Jordon, and all the Gulf States against Syria and Iran. Lebanon is noncombattant and possibly the battlefield.
Egypt and Pakistan will standby. Turkey may enter the fray.
The Gulf states are experiencing the first iteration of Iran's presence with the Iranian immigrants and the so called Iranian charities propping up in their states. Think of Iran's methods and intentions as a Shia super-Sopranos.

.....The Gulf states are experiencing the first iteration of Iran’s presence .....
When naming firsts, I would look much earlier to when Iranians were shot up by Saudi security in the Mecca Holy Mosque in 1987.

I suppose you could still drill through the glass bottom sea bed to get to the oil?
I meant first as in stages rather than timeline which is why I used the word iteration as in: “one cycle of a set of instructions to be repeated”.
I respectfully disagree. Here is what I believe will happen if we take Iran out:

And here is what I posted today regarding Iran’s new threats:

....Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, al Sadr’s Mahdi army and al Qaeda will be orphaned.....
I see that as mere specualtion and have seen no real basis for believing it is true. Their very existance is for the purpose of carrying out assymetric war while Iran is in defensive posature.
While we can wreak havoc with Iranian infrastructure, we can not defeat them. We can not invade because we lack the ability to defeat their forces in the many places they are quartered.
The war will involve all the states noted in the earlier post scting to contain the mullahs for as long as is necessary.
After Iran is taken out, who's going to re-supply them with funds and weapons? Nobody. Al Qa'eda may have more resources under the table but Iran was their chief supplier in Iraq to foment a civil war.
The asymmetric wars you mentioned will not last days if it ever starts. Remember Israel wants to have a go at them and Sunni Arab Governments and armies will defeat Iran's proxies who will have no outside support.
I see that as mere speculation and have seen no real basis for believing it is true.
It's not speculation; rather it's a prudent calculation. By the same reasoning, your suggestion of carrying out an endless or long asymmetric war while Iran is on the defensive has no support. The reason is simple; you didn't calculate that Iran is being taken out by air in a matter of days and therefore, there is no reason the proxies would carry on a fight to the death, as they like to threaten.
If they do, all for the better, it will be a faster and final death.
the iranians don’t have even half a bahrain.
