Some think our universe, AKA the universe, is the inside of a black hole.

In next 1,000 years, we might be able to do so.

I have an entire galaxy contained inside a locket on a gold chain. Sometimes I let my cat Orion wear it just for kicks.

Deep Space 9
They controlled a wormhole, and there were ‘entities’ living inside.

Of course they do, what did they think was contained by black holes?

So, each “universe” is the inside of another black hole, and on and on and on, like those boxes in novelty stores that fit inside each other sequentially until they are very small....

But “our” universe is expanding. So, what is it expanding into?..................

Some black holes do not contain universes. Washington, DC is an example.
To: blam
Interesting. I’m not a scientist but I did stay.....never mind.
I have to wonder though, IF our universe were to be contained in a black hole could an explanation spring forth from that assumption that would explain the apparent but not confirmed existence of dark matter?
Anyone? Bueller?

Like those nested dolls they used to make in Russia. Could be a hundred billion or a trillion universes inside this universe and we can never make contact. Of course we can never make contact with the trillion universes inside of the great universe along with our own universe. It goes both up and down the scale forever, which is as far as we need to think about it: unlimited we can deal with; infinite we cannot—Kant, 1781.

what is it expanding into? Look at the ordinary black hole. Is it expanding? Not really, but from inside it could have the illusion of expanding.
