I heard a great idea on Christian radio.
You should take your daughter out on “dates” - just the two of you. Show her how a gentleman treats a young lady. For example, open doors (car doors even), etc. Teach her to simply wait for the man to open the doors for her by failing to do so once in a while and telling her how to respond.
You also have to teach about messages that go out (from her method of interaction, dress, etc), and messages that come in (who she is friends with, what she listens to, etc).

You should take your daughter out on “dates” I tried that a couple of times and found out that my girls weren't cheap dates. Expensive restaurants etc.
They even expected the super size box of pop corn at the movies and milk duds.

Ah ha! you are correct. I am thrilled to say that my 9 year old daughter and I have a date in november for the father/daughter dance at my kids' school. The purpose is to teach our young women exactly how they should demand to be treated.
