UAB Spam Team Spots First Presidential Campaign Spam
Anti-spam researchers at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) noted a disturbing new trend following Sunday's Republican Candidates Presidential debate. One of the candidates has a new spam campaign dedicated to proclaiming him victorious in the debate and extolling his virtues as the future president.
There is no reason to believe the current spam campaign is actually endorsed by Ron Paul or his official campaign engine, according to Gary Warner, UAB Director of Research in Computer Forensics,
Ron Paul is popular with the Internet and some of the recent Web polls that were taken down because of Ron Paul Spammers include:

The new messages have headlines such as:

Ron Paul Eliminates the IRS!
Ron Paul Stops Iraq War!
Vote Ron Paul 2008!

Used to know it well, but that was 20 years ago...
You ever eat at Milo’s down there...
I miss that place...
SSDD
Of course I ate at Milo’s and the Social Grill and of course Sneaky Pete’s. I left in 1980. The last time I was back there was in 94 for a day or two. Hardly recognized the place.
“His campaign makes a mockery of democracy.”
Paul’s campaign is messing with the Republican Party and the primary process. I still think some of the Dems are involved.
BTTT
Yeah, but so far, none of the Paulistas have been vocal on this thread. Must be waiting for points from on high. And, this is all very fitting for Halloween. Although I prefer to concentrate on Reformation Day myself.

The “Spam what am”.
Sneaky Petes, damn best hot dog in the holiest hole in the wall in the world...
I left in 1984 for college and have not been back except for 2-3 day visists. Yes it has changed, too much, but I still recognize some of it...
I don't have the relevant law in front of me, but unsolicited email (especially mass mailings) is a no-no, regardless of subject matter. Bulk mailers are supposed to have the permission of the recipients.
Heh. *actually goes to UAB*
Now this is interesting. I’ve actually seen a couple of Ron Paul signs here and there; two “Hope for America” signs really high up on a telephone pole, and one large “Ron Paul REVOLution” banner hanging over the balcony of the Education Building.
This press release is actually quite intriguing though.
I suppose you're one of those Al Gore "living constitution" Republicans.
Does anyone still read those stupid spam e-mails? I always just delete any e-mail that comes from someone I don’t know. If it is from someone I know, I look at the subject line to determine if it is junk, and if it is, I delete it.
(Note-I’m not calling you stupid)
If stupid people didn’t respond to stupid spam emails, they would soon stop sending them as it would not be profitable.
You’re actually contending that Ron Paul is an originalist?
Well, I won't be seeing any tonight. I'm not opening the doors this year. A waste of time around here what with the parties the city puts on for the kids. So, I won't have to knock anyone off my front stoop :)
I understand. BTW for a little fun, cruise on over here. it’s interesting, I’ll leave it at that.

Did you get the link wrong? I’m getting a ‘The requested document does not exist on this server’ response when I hit it.
