There are about 200 policemen killed in the line of duty every year in the United States. Our casualty level in Iraq is approaching that level. This isn’t a war, it’s a police action. Most of the criminal activity in Iraq is equivalent to gang wars in East LA. We are winning the peace now. In the 1980’s there were about 5 murders every day in NYC, comparable to the recent average in Baghdad. It’s the media that makes Iraq a “civil war” when in NYC 5 murders a day was just everyday life.
Congratulations to President Bush for staying the course, finishing the job, and making all the liberals safe to criticize the heros who saved them.

Hmmm...The Department of Defense says that in Iraq, since March of 2003 up through the beginning of October 2007, that there have been 3100 hostile deaths and 700 non-hostile deaths. Even if we take the 3100 hostile deaths as The Number of American military dead, you'll have to forgive me, but my math maybe a little fuzzy, but I could swear that that's like around 700 killed every year.
Who should I believe? You or the Department of Defense? Or is my math that bad that somehow 3100 dead since March of 2003 works out to around 200 killed a year?

I bet you said the same thing about the Korean War as well as Vietnam.

With 833 US KIA in 2007 so far it is a dishonest stretch to say that we are approaching 200/year. Give me a call when your fantasy approaches reality.
Renaming the war a police action changes nothing, Viet Nam was officially a "police action".
