It took that long to realize there are no jobs for history majors? Duh. Basically, you’ve got the same options as a Poli Sci major (my major) ... you teach or go to law school.
And, if you want to complain about $32K in debt ... wait until law school. My debt’s closer to $110K ... but at least I’ve got a job, a house and a woman who can appreciate that I don’t live with my parents.

This is true and not true. Most degrees are pretty worthless beyond giving you the "sheepskin" you need to get in the door. Outside of specific hard science degrees, what degree leads to a specific job?
But what says a history major has to have a job concerning history? Presumably, a history major is a decent reader, and hence, has pretty good language skills. How about a job as a writer or proofreader? I could go on. Bottom line, you make your own opportunities, degree or none.

I majored in History on an ROTC Scholarship...had a job the day I graduated. Spent about 10 years as a Military Police Officer and got into the Insurance Defense industry as a private investigator.
Now I bill lawyers by the hour ;-)
