Interesting graph on the lobbyists contribution. Look at the presidential election years, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004. In ‘92 and ‘96, the majority contributions went to RATS and Clinton got in and kept the seat. In 2000 and ‘04, the majority contributions went to the PUBS with the prez getting in and keeping the seat. Makes for interesting observations for 2008.

If you dig through the site, the numbers get a lot bigger. The generic "Lobbyists" only represent one of about 15 different groups of special interests. Here's the graphic for "Education":
