‘Wouldn’t mind seeing him as a VP nominee. He’s got a great head on his shoulders...and maybe four or eight years of visability would allow for a legitimate run for President. ‘

‘So,you’re saying 20 plus years experience isn’t enough? ‘

No, no, NO. I’m saying the big time visibility as VP would get him serious attention in a Presidential run afterwards, which is the problem he has today. He’s not gaining traction with the voters nationally, even though he is very good on any issue you care to mention - as far as I’m concerned, anyway.

I LIKE THE GUY. But his poll numbers are stagnant, he doesn’t have a chance at gaining the RNC nomination this year. A few years as VP would change his name recognition from ‘who? Oh, that guy, yeah he’s got some great points...” to ‘VP Hunter? Hell yes I’ll vote for him!’

Thats what I’m trying to say here.

It's maddening, isn't it? From your link:
For years, government bureaucrats and enviro-socialist extremists have been using the Endangered Species Act (ESA) to destroy the lives of thousands of American farmers, ranchers, fishermen and loggers. Even suburban and urban citizens have been negatively impacted by these "green Nazis", but no one seems to have noticed, until these four firefighters died.

These fine young people, with so much of their lives left before them, were left to die in a hellish inferno as public servants, OUR servants, fretted over defying their Federal masters by dipping into a river which contained three ESA-protected species of salmon for water to douse the flames that would consume the lives, hopes and dreams of four brave firefighters.

The enviro whackos are just communists in a green suit. They are clueless. Add to that the power-monger bureaucrats, caring more about getting credit for some action and planning their next photo-op, and it makes one seethe. But of course, the central planners know what is best for all of us (Grrrrrrrrrr!). I give credit to Hunter, Bilbray, et al trying to break through the bureaucratic log jam. Now if we could just get Pombo back.... (A cowgirl can dream, can't she? lol)

>...I wish he had a bit more charisma, thats the only thing holding him back in the primaries.<

Charisma! LOL! The only thing holding him back in the primaries is Soros MSM money, globalist Rockefeller Republicans, including the RNC, and Red China money which is going to the Hill, and any Republican other than Hunter.

Charisma is for goo goo babies! What Duncan Hunter says and does is appreciated by mature thinking adults!

So,you're saying 20 plus years experience isn't enough? How about only 6 years as a totally ineffective senator? Why is that enough?

It isn't. That's why, among other reasons, I oppose Hillary, Barack, and John Edwards.

None of the Republicans has that little experience, those who don't have as long a public elected term have been successful in businesses and/or have served in public non-elected capacities for years.

Good to see Hunter out there. Maybe this is the thing that will get his campaign noticed.

I’m sorry. How is Soros preventing Hunter from getting people like you to send him money?

Ask somebody that isn’t a political junkie like those of us that inhabit these internet forums about him.

Odds are they won’t know anything about him, unless you prompt them.

You can mock this if you want...but it doesn’t change the fact that Hunter is right on almost any issue you care to name, with a great voting record....and nobody cares in significant numbers.

People like me ARE sending Rep. Hunter money. Trouble is, as I told Badeye, there are too many goo goo babies out there, and too much money going to the MSM (Between Soros and Murdoch) to keep Hunter in the sandtraps.

They had feinstein on Fox this morning talking about FEMA assistance. She told the story of how two different families that lost their homes in the fire. One had fire insurance and the other did not. How can you have a mortgage on a home and not have fire insurance. The lender would threaten to buy a policy and charge the owner for it.

I still don’t understand how money from people who DON’T give to republicans that is going to the MSM is effecting Hunter’s ability to convince conservatives to give him money.

Soros isn’t keeping me from giving Hunter money. Hunter has access to the same National Republican donor lists as the other candidates. He could also have purchased other lists,or built up his own I guess. But he has to convince donors that they aren’t throwing their money away.

As I see it, the people who buy into the “Hunter who?” and the “Hunter can’t win” hoax, aided by the “keep Hunter in the sandtraps” media (owned by Soros, Turner and Murdoch)are perpetuating the myth to promote their own agenda. By doing so, they implant the “don’t pour good money after bad” mindset into the gullible uninformed.

Hunter is a different type of animal than your everyday politician. He is a statesman! And he belongs to no special interest groups, excepting those Americans who want to retain our sovereignty, our very way of life. Now there is an admirable special interest group!

Unfortunately, the big money is against him because their goal is one world government, ultimately in plain words, Communism.

By nature, he isn’t inclined to grovel for bucks. However, I do think he should send out more funding letters. I’ve only received one of these in 10 months!

I think if he skipped a few live appearances and invested in some good prime time spots on network TV, wallets would open to him across the nation! Everyone who sees and hears what Duncan Hunter is all about immediately line up behind him! Think of how many more he could reach with a few TV spots!

People have been waiting for such as he! They are literally starving for Duncan Hunter! And it is up to him to let them see he is there for them!

Paperdoll: “People have been waiting for such as he! They are literally starving for Duncan Hunter! And it is up to him to let them see he is there for them!”

In online surveys, when the issues and records are taken into consideration, Duncan Hunter wins them all!

AT RIGHT: The views of Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, match those who give the most liberal answers on websites designed to help voters choose a presidential candidate. (AP)

Several websites are offering compass headings to voters who feel lost in the big field of presidential candidates.

Sites such as selectsmart.com and vajoe.com seek to match people with candidates through questionnaires that cover immigration, taxes, abortion and other issues.
The results were about the same at selectsmart.com, where Kucinich also popped up after a liberal response and Tancredo landed just behind the top conservative match, U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif.

The selectsmart.com site asks questions centered on a respondent’s “ideal candidate,” and also gauges voters’ preferences for a candidate’s age, political experience and marital history. Both that site and vajoe.com match respondents with a sliding scale of candidates, from ideological mates to those who wouldn’t get a first date.

Minnesota Public Radio’s website, minnesota.publicradio.org, also features a candidate-matching questionnaire, but the site calls it a “survey” and warns it is “not designed to tell you what candidate you should vote for. It is intended only to help you think about your positions and then introduce you to the candidates.”
