My “mindless blather” is entirely consistent with the use of my time and talent. It’s wonderful to see that the fallacy accuser resorts to the ad hominem fallacy so effortlessly.

Pray tell, what part of my premise is fallacious?

If Julie Annie is the nominee .... I’ll be fishing on voting day next year .... that SCUMBAG will NEVER get a vote from me ... and if that means the She wins .... so be it ... it will be the fault of the republican party for nominating this cross-dressing, gun-grabbing, baby-killing, neo-fascist complete ASSHOLE for the highest office in the land.

AMEN!

So what you're saying is that to stop abortion we need to vote pro-abortion? Did I get that right?

I'm sorry my selfishness over giving a crap about 50 million murdered American lives comes across as arrogance, but I won't have that blood on my hands.

We need a commitment from Guilianni to nominate Judges that are strict constructionists and are not supporters of Roe v. Wade.

LOL! Ask his ex-wife about how Rudy sticks to his "commitments".

Rudy is a firm supporter of Abortion. Hell, he's probably paid for a few for some of his mistresses. Does anyone really think he will stick to a commitment to give us strict constructionist judges? Does anyone want to buy a bridge in New York?

Wow. You guys really seem to think Guilianni would be a disaster. If we get commitments from him to support 2nd Amendment rights, marriage between a man and a woman, and on the abortion issue, I don’t have a problem with him. I’m for Duncan Hunter because his heart and record backs up every one of these things and more . . . but Hillary would clearly be a disaster.

Freedom once lost is hard to regain.

I’m not sure that freedom has ever been regained within the same culture and people in all of history actually.

I’m certainly not a supporter of Guilianni. I like Duncan Hunter . . . 99% trust him and 99% agree with him. Why compromise?

That said, you are saying he “probably” has paid for abortions. That is nonsense and wrong for you to throw out there. As far as divorce goes, Hunter, Romney, and maybe Paul and Tancredo, are the only candidates that have stuck with thier wives. Hillary has stayed married as well. Guilianni and Thompson are both out if that is the criteria.

The reality is that if the general election comes down to Rudy and Hillary then Rudy is the better choice, even as far as the pro-life movement is concerned. The only way have any effect on abortion is through the judicial process due to Roe v. Wade. Hillary will appoint liberal justices and it is likely the next president will see at least 2 Supreme Court nominations. Rudy has stated he will support strict constructionists to the court.

You may not believe him, but between Clinton and Giuliani I'd take the likely possibility of getting solid judicial picks over the certainty of getting liberal justices. Staying home or voting third party guarantees the latter, while voting for Rudy , if he is even the nominee, gets you the former. Which do you think has a better chance of having any effect on abortion?

So, fellow Freepers - Stand hard on principles - fight harder for your candidate.

Those of us who stand on principles are ready to endure a Hillary presidency if the Republicans are stupid enough to choose Giuliani as the Republican standard bearer.

I will stand on principle. I will NEVER vote for Guliani for President. NEVER. No matter what the cost.

I will make my principled stand and if necessary I will die on this hill. There are millions like me.

This is where I have totally agreed with Dobson but no one will make me believe Rudy would be worse than Hillary.

If we get commitments from him they will be meaningless. He is a Trojan horse.

How about just abstaining for voting for President if Rudy is the nominee? Do you think your GOP candidates for House and Senate and for the GOP in your State also deserve to lose?

There is nothing more dangerous to the future and values of our country than a Hillary Presidency. She must be stopped.

Then we'd all better work hard at getting someone nominated besides Rudy, because if he is selected, she will be our next Prez.

Did you know that God puts up kings and he sets down kings?

If you truly believe this, then you should be more than supportive of someone who is voting in keeping with God's principles. It is a good thing for them to do personally, and God will ensure that whoever He wants in office will be there, regardless of that individual's vote.

Right?

standing on principles = enduring a Hillary Presidency

is like

not wanting to get wet = jumping in the lake

Fight for Fred - that’s cool. But deal with it if he loses the Primary and please help keep Hillary out of the White House.

Or move to Canada if you want - like all the Dems after Bush won (twice).

...Dr. Dobson has also cast a jaundice eye on Fred Thompson and may just be cutting off his nose to spite his face on that one....

That entire episode reminds me of the power-mad political king-maker trying to cut down the junior senator in Mr. Smith Goes To Washington.

Sure, it's an exaggerated example, but think about it...

I understand all that perfectly, and I still cannot vote for Rudy.

These are very high stakes indeed, which is exactly why all thoughts of Rudy must stop here and now.

[ ,I pray we all are prepared to crawl over broken glass to stop Her, regardless of who the Republican nominee is.]

Well, just call me onery or a fool or what you will. But it seems to me that voting for a rino is not a conservative vote, it is a less liberal vote and that is just wrong, wrong, wrong.
Remember, we live a representitive republic and elect those who represent us. Social liberals are not conservatives as President Bush has shown us many conservatives are tired of being burned over and over again.
I mean, why not just settle on a conservative and then conservatives will not have to compromise their personal morals and beleif system.
