And, if Giuliani should, by some twist of fate, win the presidency, it will mean the end of Reaganism. It will represent a turning point in the history of the Republican Party and our nation. It will mean the continued deaths of tens of millions unborn babies when we are closer than ever to defeating the abortion culture that Roe v. Wade initiated in 1973.
Should Giuliani succeed, it will represent the end of any hope for the Republican Party to serve as an alternative to the Democratic Party for millions of people like me and Dr. Dobson. That's bigger than two terms of Hillary Rodham Clinton. That's worse even than four or eight more years in the wilderness.
I actually believe it would be worse for America if Rudy Giuliani were elected president than Hillary Rodham Clinton.
If Hillary wins, the reaction to her predictable overreaching will be similar to what we experienced in 1994 a "Republican revolution."
If Rudy wins, millions will simply defect from the Republican Party. If you want to see the rise of a third party, just be sure to nominate Giuliani and elect him as president.
The long-term consequences of a Giuliani victory are far worse than the consequences of a Clinton victory.
So let's avoid that dire choice now. There's still time to avoid such an unpleasant scenario. Let's just nominate a Republican the Republican base can support.

So what you're saying is that your principles have clouded all since of rationality and you are willing to see Hillary elected, which would do far more harm to the pro-life movement, then even consider voting for the lesser of two evils.
Principles are nice, but unless you can accomplish anything your principles are worthless.
Good. Then we agree that an individual should vote his/her principles.
And that is why I could never vote for Rudy.
It will mean the continued deaths of tens of millions unborn babies when we are closer than ever to defeating the abortion culture.
Considering the state of our country I think it’s far more important to support someone who has a track record of cleaning up messes and that person is Rudy. Even discounting 9/11 Rudy’s efforts at cleaning up the cesspool that was New York is amazing considering the fierce opposition he had from the left. The one issue crowd could very likely sabotage any chances of a GOP win in 2008. They may well be responsible for throwing the baby out with the bath water and we’ll be left with Hillary. Real smart, huh?
Yes, I’d rather see Hillary win than Rudy.
Dobson is dead wrong on this.
If Rudy is the Rep candidate, I’ll be casting my first third party vote in my life.
I actually believe it would be worse for America if Rudy Giuliani were elected president than Hillary Rodham Clinton.
So....why are YOU supporting Rudy?
He is more liberal than most liberals. He doesn't have a conservative bone in his body. I need to know what you like about him.
I am confused, In Jesus’s time there was abortion, homosexuality, immorality, murder, and other happenings that modern day Christians object to. Now Jesus didn’t tell his followers to attack a Greek bath known for homosexuality. He didn’t go to a Roman execution where the Romans was killing an innocent person and demand the Romans release the person. He didn’t tell his followers not to pay their taxes because the money will go to a sinful Roman government. His major concern was people spiritual needs and the only major act of public disobedience was throwing the moneylenders out of the Temple.
Now we are being told that a Christian can’t vote for a pro abortion candidate or can’t vote for a candidate who supports gambling or has a poor moral personal history. Frankly going down a check list on why someone is worthy or not sounds more like the Pharisees than a follower of Christ.
That is what is getting me. What he did and thought while on Earth is different than what his followers is telling me it means to be a Christian.
As I've said countless times, look at Giuliani's fiscal views, education views and foreign policy views to see where he is conservative. Saying he "doesn't have a conservative bone" is simply an argument lacking any critical thought.
zzzzzzzz
Fiscal!!
He wants FEDERAL FUNDING of abortion.
You are right AND THE LEFT KNOWS IT.
Giuliani is poison to voters. It is just a tactical reality. We may not like it but it is a fact of life that Giuliani repels 30% of the GOP base.
EVEN IF there is no third party run, that repulsion TACTICALLY it is the same as a thrid party and a perscription for defeat.
THIS Is why the GOP primary is EVERYTHING in the presidential race.
The Prmary is THE PRIMARY.
The focus on Giuliani IN THE PRIMARY is that he is electoral poison just as hillary is electoral poison to republicans.
Perception is reality in politics. Giuliani is percieved as a NYC liberal with a majority of identical views as hillary that makes him percieved as identical.
BTW did you know Hillary Clinton was the NY Senator on 9/11?
Giuliani is easy to neutralize.
The primary is THE race.
No Giuliani, no problem.
Look at his fiscal views on cutting taxes and reducing overall spending. Yes abortion is an important issues, but it is not the only issue, nor do I agree its even the most important issues as only through judicial appointments can anything be done.
I am not supporting Rudy, although I will if he gets the nomination. I just don't like the thought on FR that if Rudy wins the nomination everyone is staying home because that would somehow be the Republican party's fault.
If the majority of states go to Rudy in the Republican primary and he wins the most delegates than he wins the nomination and I wont blame Repubublians and stay home.
I like Duncan Hunter. I gave him money and he is the only one I have given to but if his campaign can't get off the ground that doesn't means I wont vote for Fred. If Hunter dropped out and so did Fred that doesn't mean i wouldn't support McCain. If he lost the nomination to Rudy that doesn't mean I wont vote for Rudy.
I remember Waco and Somalia, no controlling legal authority, vast right wing conspiracy, FBI files, Fort Macy Park, socialized medicine, gays in the military, Elian Gonzales, corruption and intimidation, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, supporting Muslims over Christians, kissing Arafat's wife and ass. No Thank You!
If I support a pro-abortion candidate I am violating God’s law.
I Cannot support Rudy.
I’ll not stay home. I’ll probably write in Hunter’s name.
====================================
My principles are worth a lot more to me than whoring them out to the highest bidder.
Which law is that?
That’s nice, but what are you going to do to see your principles realized? The reality is that Giuliani, or any Republican candidate for that matter, actually has a chance to see the abortion status quo change via judicial appointments. Seeing Hillary elected and her liberal judicial appointments that follow would be a major setback to the pro-life cause. Which would you rather see; a chance at change, or no chance of change? I know what I would take.
All you need as a Christian is to believe this, that Jesus died, was buried and rose again the third day according to the scriptures. Fast, pray, worship God and believe that all things were accomplished on the cross. Forget the Ten Commandments, they have been fulfilled. Going and protesting an abortion clinic wont get anyone closer to heaven. Jesus told the religious people that the whore mongers and publicans would enter into the kingdom before they would.
