TAMPA, Fla. - Republican Fred Thompson sidestepped a question about the Terri Schiavo right-to-die case last month, saying he didn't remember the details. On Monday he said he's uncomfortable discussing it because of his own daughter's death.

"And this will probably be the last time I ever address it."

He added: "It should be decided by families. The federal government and the state government, too except for the court system ought to stay out of it, as far as I'm concerned."

Um...perhaps I’m wrong, but Fred Thompson wasn’t President when this happened. So what’s with all the 43,000 posts about this? This thread is about his daughter, not Terri Schaivo.
History repeats itself. By his comments, it appears a president Thompson sides with the right to die movement and since he’s not going to address this again, his mindset is not likely to change. The right to die lobby receives boatloads of money just like Planned Parenthood does. Both organizations are direct opposites of the pro-life movement. Thompson lawyered for Planned Parenthood and now he comes out for euthanasia. He’s not pro-life. He’s faux life.

Carla reported suspicious activity to law enforcement which was in her job description. Too bad at the time she didn’t know they were good ole boys first and foremost. Once allegations and evidence end up in Bernie McCabe’s giant hopper, charges simply vanish.

Wow!
It’s not just nutty you and me, sun who have a problem w/the end of life choices actor.
Heat of the moment thing, I’m sure. Hope you keep digging for the truth.
To tell the truth FV, I was sort of hoping they would of pressed on pulling her license. In the end, I think they were afraid to because the whole thing might of ended up in front of an honest judge.

"A lawyer representing the Department of Health told the Associated Press that rules requiring nurses not to disclose patient information also require them to report "apparent neglect and abuse" of patients.
"The obligation to protect the patient must prevail," Assistant General Counsel Kathryn Price told the panel and recommended it reverse its previous vote which found probable cause to act against the nurse.
Sauer-Iyer, however, said justice was served.
"I would do it again under personal risk," she told AP.
The mainstream press was pushing Fred on his opinion on Terri. It just carries over on this thread. Thompson wimped out, sort of like the Bush brothers. In contrast to that, we had Duncan Hunter make a strong statement defending Congress's actions. He went out of way to do it.
Besides being heroic, Carla’s got a great sense of humor which I’m sure was not lost on Terri. My neighbor who was assigned to Terri has tender memories of brushing Terri’s hair. So much gentility and tenderness was kicked aside just so that powerful people could simply be declared the winner.
Hope you don't mind, but once again this video shows you to be correct.

I think Hunter and probably Tancredo are the strongest pro-life candidates from conception to natural death.
