UPDATE: The city of Malibu is advising residents in Puerco Canyon to begin evacuating due to a wildfire driven by powerful winds. This area is north of Pacific Coast Highway and about 1 mile west of Pepperdine University. Residents along the beach on Malibu Road may soon be evacuated. Pacific Coast Highway is closed between Kanan-Dume Road and Topanga Canyon. Residents are advised to head to the west. Evacuation centers are being set up in the Zuma Beach area.
A wildfire driven by powerful winds in the Malibu Hills this morning threatened a university, destroyed at least one home and forced the evacuation of hundreds more, authorities said.

Rodger that!
I do. Go to weather.qnet.com and click on “Antelope Valley Police Scanner.” It’s police, not fire, though. The scanner’s at the office 20 miles away, or I’d change it.
We’ll be up to 92 here close to the beach tomorrow...so inland it will likely be over 100....
LOL. You’re bad.
Any word on what or how the Witch fire in Ramona got started?
That’s what I heard! We might hit the 90’s on Wednesday/Thursday, but you guys really have quick changes in store.
It warms up as it drops down to sea level, but it is a dry heat. Hope this is not an indication for what winter storms are gonna be like. Supposedly we have a strong La Nina happening right now. Cold water in the Pacific. It appears as if this cold Pacific induced weather is slowly making its way east, but by the time it does hit the East, it will probably hit like a hammer.
Thanks!
What most people do not realize is that Reno NV is WEST of LA.

Hi BG. Hope no fires start out your way....isn’t this a little late for the fire season, anyhows???
that waterdrop on KCAL...residents are fighting the fire with their hose right there...
Now I am here for this fire. Afternoon the entire world was orange under a red sun with nothing but smoke and falling ash out of the sky. Luckily smoke is my only worry at my present location.
