UPDATE: The city of Malibu is advising residents in Puerco Canyon to begin evacuating due to a wildfire driven by powerful winds. This area is north of Pacific Coast Highway and about 1 mile west of Pepperdine University. Residents along the beach on Malibu Road may soon be evacuated. Pacific Coast Highway is closed between Kanan-Dume Road and Topanga Canyon. Residents are advised to head to the west. Evacuation centers are being set up in the Zuma Beach area.
A wildfire driven by powerful winds in the Malibu Hills this morning threatened a university, destroyed at least one home and forced the evacuation of hundreds more, authorities said.

You have any quick info on 18 going up to Crestline from San Berdo?

I don’t have a direct answer for you...but this site will be excellent for that area.
Many prayers for your family and friends.
I suggest you nip that in the bud, as the Admin Moderator has been telling people that if they want to talk like that, they should start their own thread.

Well, I certainly will not take it back however I will say that I mean’t it more as a question and less as a statement of fact. IOW “Do you think this could be.....” rather than proclaiming judgement.
I will however not make another post of that inflammatory nature on this thread again.

We haven’t been able to make a list of CA FReepers in the worst areas, since events have moved so fast and folks check in as able. But the ones we know of have reportedly made it to safety.
God bless our firefighters and all whose lives have been thrown into turmoil and loss in this disaster. God lift us up in SoCal.
