Okay...I guess it hasn't sunk in yet...it doesn't matter what that individual thinks. If it did I wouldn't support him. I'm more interested in the Republican party with its conservative base staying healthy and strong. I didn't think I would have to point this out, but how does the Republican Party gain vitality?

I make myself the hostage by making my position radically clear (anybody but a Democrat). Fine, but I'm saying you should save it until after the two nominees are set in stone. Until then the debate should be within the GOP about who's the best qualified conservative candidate. Rudy isn't, that's for certain.

In what way? I haven’t seen any of the debates being out of the country. I know enough about Guiliani’s record to dislike him. This is an issue of disliking Democrats more than Republicans. Its a sad commentary that its come to it but it must be said.

I agree with you on the first statement. On the second we have to recognize the fundamental conservativism that is the Republican base. If we learned anything from the 2006 election its that conservatives being disgusted with the party that best represents them and rejecting them automatically hands the country over to the people we hate most.

You been busy defending a liberal and promoting his candidacy on this conservative forum. That says, you’re either a liberal or you’ve betrayed conservatism for purposes of political expediency.
For you’re information, this forum is all about conservatism, not liberalism. Its not about backing a liberal candidate for POTUS.

Again, I'm not afraid to say it, I'll take a RINO over Zell Miller. Why? Because you get more Reagans and Helmses when the Republican party is strong. We need more conservatives in the base, not fewer. People like you are the reason the party is so weak. You bail when you get frustrated a little.
Maybe Yeats was right when "the best lack all conviction and the worst are full of passionate intensity" there will be rapture.

Gosh. Again, why is it so hard for people to discern the difference between a life freely given for honor, or country, and what Jim was actually talking about: The protection of innocent human life.
That particular duty is the fundamental reason for the existence of this free republic.
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men..."
