Bull...you’ve always made snide remarks towards Fred.

No Giuliani = No Problem.

Thompson said a faux pas at that point but Giuliani is a problem candidate who should NOT be voted in the primary.

He is trading/counting on voter ignorance.

Incorrect. It seemed like a cool idea. He just hasn’t turned out to be very good. Anyone looking at it clearly can see that.

Thompson Makes a Pitch(Ex-senator and actor considers joining race for presidency.)

Romney is pretty impressive, but also dangerously slick. I predicted (fwiw) a long time ago that the GOP nominee (and eventual president) was not in the race yet. And I don’t believe it’s Newt. So I’m watching Fred fever right now and seein what happens. At least Fred doesn’t seem like a total fringe fantasy like, say, Alan Keyes. He seems like he could really run and win.

I agree that Fred might very well be able to win it. But we all know how many pitfalls lie in the path to the presidency. We will see if he can stay the course.

No doubt about it. The whole game’s ahead of us. He looks formidable, though. Conservative enough to beat the so-called frontrunners in the primary, and possibly likable/effective enough to win the general. But you are right. Time will tell.
