Romney is pretty impressive, but also dangerously slick. I predicted (fwiw) a long time ago that the GOP nominee (and eventual president) was not in the race yet. And I dont believe its Newt. So Im watching Fred fever right now and seein what happens. At least Fred doesnt seem like a total fringe fantasy like, say, Alan Keyes. He seems like he could really run and win.

I agree that Fred might very well be able to win it. But we all know how many pitfalls lie in the path to the presidency. We will see if he can stay the course.

No doubt about it. The whole games ahead of us. He looks formidable, though. Conservative enough to beat the so-called frontrunners in the primary, and possibly likable/effective enough to win the general. But you are right. Time will tell.
hey, check out the post right before this one. I’m curious to know what your opinion of Fred is now. I was definitely interested when he first emerged as a potential candidate, but I’ve been underwhelmed ever since. Not that the alternatives are thrilling. What’s your take on Fred so far?
