That UNIVISION cameraman from Aztlan was everywhere. Whose side are the Latinos on?
Yeah the rally was great Code Pink is nothing but losers.
This has nothing to do with the other situation.
That's fine if you want to not have anything to do with events such as this.
Bear in mind this event is about supporting a Marine Recruiting Center.
This event is not about MAF, it is about hundreds of American Patriots speaking out for the Marines.
There is a thread for the topic you mentioned.
It's a good event and a great job by everyone involved. Unfortunately, from now on when Deborah Johns or Mark Williams gets up to a microphone we will all be reminded of their campaign against a staunch conservative, pro-troops Republican Congressman. It's too bad that they chose that route, but they did.
First time in over 40 years it felt GOOD to be in Berkeley. WOW
atruits ub fronht of the Marine CenterOkay... now take your right hand, and move it 1/2 inch to the right on the keyboard. ;-)
You have no idea of how many times I squinted at what I typed! I was on a laptop (natch) and left my glasses in the car...
I thought I cleaned up all my posts, but I see I missed that one!
Thanks for the laugh! And for catching my thpypos...

On Thursday, the noontime demonstration at the recruiting center will be hosted by the Middle East Childrens Alliance.

She has that plastered on smile all the time that I remember seeing on drug dependent hippies in the sixties.
Never trust anyone that smiles all the time...
Nothing phases the Devil.
Disgusting.
The media should cringe in shame for twisting what really happened in such a despicable way.
What really happened on the street there was very positive and uplifting to the Marines and any one who loves America.
The media slants it to the left so much it is astonishing. They are very good at what they do.
Thanks for the links kristinn. We really gave it to the Pinkos in Berkeley today. They are used to having the place to themselves. One local lady just passing by thanked me for being there. I told her I had come over from FRisco because I was tired of the Pinkos going unanswered. She said she had lived in Berkeley all her life and was tired of the leftists acting like they own the place too. The Pinkos were an ugly, nasty bunch, and their leader is utterly deranged! It is really something to see that little shrew up close. You just gotta wonder how someone turns out like that!
BERKELEY: UPDATE: ONE PERSON IS CITED DURING RECRUITING OFFICE RALLIES

Berkeley police spokesman Sgt. Mary Kusmiss said no one was arrested but a protester with the anti-war group "The World Can't Wait" was cited with an infraction for allegedly violating a section of the city's municipal code that bars throwing a flaming or glowing substance on city property.
Kusmiss said the young man, who was dressed in black, had been warned by Berkeley police after he burned an American flag, as officers were concerned about possibility of a fire or other public safety issues posed by a burning flag in close quarters with a large number of people.
The man was cited after he went ahead and burned a second American flag, she said.

The pro-war counter-demonstrators came from as far as Santa Rosa and as close as the UC Berkeley campus; they represented groups including the American Legion, the Gathering of Eagles, Eagles Up and the UC Berkeley College Republicans.
When the pro-war side sang God Bless America, the anti-war people sang, God Save America. The pro-warriors called the protesters commies and the pro-peace folks called the counter-demonstrators killers.
As the crowd grew and the rhetoric of the two sides escalated, Berkeley Police separated the pro and counter war demonstrators, with the pro-war side, which held permits, allowed to remain on the west side of the street in front of the recruiting office and the anti-war side, which held no permits, guided across the street.
One young man, who did not want to be identified, was yelling Code Pink traitors, along with a group of counterdemonstrators. Asked what he meant, he told the Planet that its because Code Pink is against what our countrys trying to doto get freedom for people.
Nearby Dan Baptista also supported the war. We left in the first Gulf War without finishing the job, he said. If we dont finish it, well have to go back again in 10 years.
Judy Christopher of Code Pink had brought her baby to the demonstration. As a mother, I dont want my son to grow up to kill people, she said.
As the demonstration wound down, Code Pink organizer Zanne Joi said she thought it had been a success. Weve shut down the recruiting office, she said.
Bolded: In their dreams. You do not "shut down" Marines.
Pro-war VS Pro-peace.
They are always told we are not pro-war. Peace can only be attained by greater firepower when you are fighting those that will put their children in front of them for protection.
Oh and some people came from a lot further than Santa Rosa, just 50 miles away. Several of us were there from Sonoma County. Some were from past Sacramento.
Egland served in Iraq and Afghanistan, so it's not surprising that some of the people associated with MAF will back him. Some will back Doolittle.
But the in-fighting between Egland and Doolittle supporters means little-to-nothing to me compared to the face of the battle between the anti-American, anti-military forces of Code Pink, MoveOn.org, George Soros, et. al and the pro-troop efforts of the coalition of groups including Gathering of Eagles, Free Republic, Eagles Up, Move America Forward, Protest Warriors, and many many many many others.
Egland v. Doolittle is not relevant to what happened today in Berkeley.
To me he looked like an Arab. When the police approached him there was a roar of approval from the pro recruiter side. I didn’t stay and see him burn another flag.
There was a woman on the pinko side that held up a picture of Abu Greb and a nude man with a collar and leash on. To me it doesn’t even come close to my minds’ pictures of whole families being blown to bits by terrorists or the decapitation of anti taliban Iraqies.
What misguided souls!
It is too bad that we don’t have the numbers of the killed insurgents that are from moslem countries other than Iraq. Without these numbers, the left tries to make us believe that this is a civil war. WE KNOW THAT IT ISN’T!
This was about the Marines and to show support for them.
