...The issue with Coulter is not whether she can sell books, but whether she helps or hurts the side of the political debate she claims to support. In my opinion, Coulter has never been a big help to the effort to build a conservative and Republican majority. Her most recent comments on the relationship of Christianity to Judaism, made on the CNBC show " The Big Idea" with Donnie Deutsch on Monday of this week , may prove particularly damaging...
At a time when party affiliation is fraying and a third of Americans consider themselves independent, to build a majority of 50% plus one requires persuasion. Independents will not accept all parts of either party's platform or approach but will choose a candidate for office based on which issues matter to them, and whether one or the other party connects with them on those issues. It is a skill to disagree at times without being disagreeable. Ronald Reagan had it, and it is one of the reasons he became so popular and patched together a large winning coalition . Coulter has clearly decided there is no economic advantage for her in this approach...

Christian perfection

Murtha calls our soldiers murderers, and never apologizes, and its another day at the office for him.
Algore lies through his teeth about global warming and they give him a Nobel peace prize.
Harry Reid can accuse an American of something that was never said, before the well of the senate, and the MSM yawns.
Clintons can lie, rape, and destroy lives and their stock rises.
Give em hell, Ann!
Media matters is that Hillary/Soros site.
I doubt seriously if any Jews who are leaning toward voting Republican would change their minds because of an Ann Coulter remark.
What should change their minds is the fact that most liberals would turn their backs on Isreal in a minute.
Their loyalty to the dems is more puzzling than the loyalty of Blacks or unions when the dems have done nothing to help any of them.
You are right Ann fills a key role in being as blunt as she is.
By giving voice to a particular POV she puts an idea or value on the table so to speak, makes it concievable.
The left is counting on the opposition keeping their mouths shut, a role too many on our side seem content to play.
Yea...we should run our computers through a washing machine after visitng that site.
There are 30,000 Christian denominations in the USA. Which flavor should we all convert to?
I wonder how many of the posters on this thread actually read the excerpts, let alone the article. Reason doesn’t appeal to them.
LOL, now I’m confused.
Me too, but it’s fun to read about.
I read the article and went to the site discussing the original interview.
I believe the guy was baiting her to see how far she would go and she was answering honestly.
There is so much equivocatng and PC-ness going around a little honesty is refreshing sometimes.
I love Ann Coulter, and never miss seeing her on FOX.
But the fact is her tendency toward inflamatory and divisive rhetoric does more to polarize than to convince people to become conservative.
In fact she motivates the left by becoming a poster girl for demonizing conservatives.
Anyone who denies this either isn't honest or just isn't paying attention.
But I have to admit that one of things I like most about Ann is how she offends liberals.
Perhaps they believe they have more influence over the self-destructocrat party than they have over the Republican Party.
Actually, that line should be "The left throws food." (a line from her latest book)
Yeah, up to a point, but I haven’t seen an original thought from an Ann-hater in ages. Zzzzzzz.
Brainwashing and bribery. I am no longer curious about why they try so hard to keep us divided.
Take heed my brethren...we no longer have a two party system in America, we have the godless world communist machine and their operatives vs Freedom loving people the world over.
This Jew is not indignant. I'm outraged. I respect another's religion and expect others to respect mine.
"Perfect" yourself before you try to "perfect" me.
She has hurt, not only the conservative movement, but has fed into the stereotype of conservatives, propagated by the Left.
I'm not indignant. I'm disgusted. I liked Ann and, I'm sorry to say, I bought 2 of her books. That will not happen again.
Frankly, your dismissal of those who are, as I am, outraged, is wishful thinking.
And as an aside, I might mention, that ANYONE that tries to "perfect" me, is in for a very nasty surprise.
