I went there and was at the library during visitation of Mr. Reagan. Went back later during the day to see the rest of the location. It was terrific. The Airforce Jet was neat you get to walk through it .
Awesome.
If we ever hit the lottery, almost got 4 out of 6 tonight.
This is what KV wants to buy.
A big bus designed with a cieling barrier free lift and all the comforts of home he has now including custom portals for his medical equipment O2/mist and all his supplies so we can hit the road again.
We don’t need the fancy stuff just the durable custom medical assist needs.
Lil Wash and Dryer/sink/micro.
And of course a wheelchair lift.
Don’t need the built in chairs. Just one couch/bed for me and he would have his built up padded sided double size waterbed.
Then we could travel again.
His freind who shares the same severe physical disablility had a better idea.
He wants a military style aircraft (DON’t know the name of the model) that lowers a ramp in the back and will fit his RV and all the comforts of home for his medical needs.
LOL That way he says we cant fly to our destination and then unload the RV for sight seeing.
Big boys with big dreams!
Then we can go to the Reagan Library. : )
I am hoping there will be some in depth news shows coming up in the next week to put it all in perspective.
It was too big to visualize.
Come Monday morning I hope Cal Trans has an organize re route plan for the kabillion commuters.
Oh and not looking forward to the talking heads who start insisting this is why everyone needs to take commuter trains/public transportation.
BTW your screen name prompted me to make up a bunch of home made Chicken Enchiladas. I made 3 square pans to freeze and a some to eat tonight. Yummy.
They think the freeway may be reopened as early as Tuesday.
Apparently the winds made the tunnel act like a chimney, the heat was swept to one end. That end has spalled off concrete and damaged rebar, but most of the structure may be OK.
I also asked him which posts he objected to and got no reply.
How can I improve my postings if I don’t know what to change or avoid?
I lived in Saugus

I listen here in DC on the net. But I skip Handel for Ingraham and don’t skip Laura (Hannity isn’t smart enough to hold my attention). John and Ken are ok but I rarely have them on at 6.
Caltrans engineers take core samples from the tunnel walls to be analyzed checking the structural safety of the tunnel. An initial analysis showed that the side supports of the tunnel had been "compromised" by the heat of the inferno, but that the roof which supports the main traffic lanes overhead appeared intact. Note: You can see the rebar expanded and broke the concrete walls
Hubby grew up in Newhall. We lived in Newhall for awhile after we married.
Those were the good old days.
It's standing room only for commuters including Beth Maxwell, left, on a Metrolink train that left the Lancaster Station at 5:10 a.m. Monday, bound for Union Station downtown. Regular riders reported that there were more passengers than usual. Still, "it's not the crowd we had anticipated," said Denise Tyrrell, press relations representative with Metrolink. "We think the crisis may have passed."
The last time I took a commuter train I was impressed by the dismal look on most peoples faces; faces that avoid eye contact at nearly any cost. No wonder Borat p*ssed some of them off!
Exploded? In a tunnel? And who was driving it?
Many thanks for the pic ping.
Now they’re saying nine drivers are unaccounted for? Illegals who ran away, or what?
This morning’s commute was quite different than expected. I’m thankful it doesn’t affect me, but most people said the drive through that area was better than a normal day!
