To what extent are Jews already "christian" in the sense that they already knew the Second Commandment of Jesus before he even said it? (to treat others as one would like to be treated). It was not one of their Ten Commandments but was written in the Torah and was observed in their culture in spades. And to what extent are Christians "jews" in the sense that we accept the "old testament"?
Good for you Ann. You obviously realize there is no point in having a religion unless you believe it is the best one, the truest one--or as you said and as I have held, "the fast track." I have called it "the Reader's Digest Condensed Version" of the "old testament" and "the answers in the back of the teachers' edition of the math book."
People should not discuss “theology” in a flippant fashion as Anne did. I used to defend her, but no more. I also understand that she rarely attends religious services. Somebody should remind her that the Torah has so many rules, because man is loathe to obey G-d and needs guidance. There should be a Commandment: “Thou shalt not go on a show that nobody watches and fall into a trap.”
