We need frank open dialog, and this qualifies. For too long Christians have been taking it on the chin from all quarters.
From the 'piss jar' to Folsom street. The bashing of priests and attempts to sue the Church out of existence is reprehensible.
This is mild dialog in comparison and I might add constructive. Ann under sneak attack brilliantly framed an issue, and this thread for the most part has been a good read.
Sadly there are those that can really dish it out, but can't accept as sincere a hand reaching out to them.
I like Ann Coulter, and if I really thought she was trying to create constructive dialogue rather than just be provocative, I might agree with you. I mean, it’s not like she was in a focused forum debating a Jew, she was on a radio talk show goading a liberal, first and foremost. You have to admit she says the outrageous to spark the reaction.
I do agree that the thread’s been a good read though, and that there should be constructive dialogue among Christians and Jews. That actually supports MY point, which is that we need to be allies against those who want to see us both destroyed - Islam.
Seems that most NY Jews are more outraged by this statement than a School Bus being bombed.
