[Jimmah] Carter: I regret nothing
The Examiner ^ | 10/10/07 | Jeff Dufour and Patrick Gavin

Posted on 10/11/2007 7:58:45 AM PDT by Roberts

The presidency is okay, I guess…

Talk about finding a silver lining…

Speaking with XM Radio's Bob Edwards on Tuesday, former President Jimmy Carter (you know, the guy who gave the "malaise" speech) told the radio host that he "would not want to have changed anything" during his presidency.

Well, okay, maybe one thing. Referring to the Iran hostage crisis, Carter said, "I have a specific regret in not having one more helicopter when I wanted to rescue our hostages. If I had had one more helicopter, they would have been rescued. I might have been reelected president."

But presidency, schmesidency, says Carter, who thinks that the Oval Office isn't nearly as sweet a gig as his own humanitarian efforts at The Carter Center. IAfter all, f he had had that extra helicopter, which would have rescued the hostages (wildly presuming, of course, that the Delta Force commanders were able to pull of a daring rescue of the more than 50 U.S. citizens being held in Tehran) and, thus, helped re-elect him president, Carter said "in that case I probably wouldn't have had the Carter Center, so in balance I would not want to have changed anything."

Wow, he was just one helicopter away from greatness. LOL!

Don't worry, Jimmah, we have enough collective regret over you to make up for your lack of same.

'Cause that's what it was about-- the reelection.

Maybe 20% interest rates would have made him even more famous and greater?

18 percent interest rates.
Our standing in the international community was a joke with you and your administration.
Iran kidnapping our embassy staff and abusing them for 444 days until just moments before Ronald Reagan was sworn in.
Mr. Carter sir you suck.

I regret nothing

Unlike most of the Americans who regretted voting for him in 1976.

Dimensia?

Or, just a fool growing old and oblivious to the obvious, as he was in office.

History will show that Jimmy Carter was more Socialist than Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Jimmy is the error that keeps on giving. If he were reelected the US may not have survived.

Is he serious? One more helicopter? Shaking my head again. Carter needs to be in a nursing home asap. Thank God he wasn't reelected. I think the only thing my Dad & I agree on is how much a moron Carter still is..

What a sorry excuse for a human being...he should've stayed in his peanut fields.

The cover illustration to the definitive history book on jimmah should be

Oh Jimmah, you don’t have regrets but we are regretting all of your f-— ups everyday such as Iran and the biggest one and dealing with islamofacism ! But don’t forget the Panama Canal. We should still own it instead of the Chinese. The best thing for Jimmah, STFU and go way !
